Lots of wheat for a curious malt complexity and leaving it light in color, but huge in flavor and satisfaction

Draught at CBM. Rich caramel malt base nicely balanced with tropical hops, orange marmalade, peach nectar, pineapple, guava, some boozy notes, dry hoppy finish. Great stuff, solid and smooth iipa, please don’t change this recipe ;)

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a semi-hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds leaving some messy semi-thick lacing. The smell started off with sweet grapefruit pulp that rides over a sly sweet wheat base and ends up allowing sweet lemon to blend nicely. The taste was mainly sweet with low bitterness of lemon rind trying to make a playful balance, yet just graces it all underneath. There’s a sweet lemon to sly wheat (semi-sweet). On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the sweet wheat to make an effort to come forward. Overall, this was a pretty good DIPA that I could have again.

Bottle from McHughs. Pours clear amber with lasting froth white head. Excellent clarity. Pine, peach, citrus nose, slightly alcohol, caramel, marmalade on nose. Flavour is sweet caramel, treacle, syrup malt halted by a rounded lingering bitterness. Dry fruity citrus finish. Slick mouthfeel slightly warming on way down. Excellent balance and great beer.

Damn near clear golden pour over an off white head, nicely laced. Aroma very piney, with citrus, perhaps tropical fruits up in there. Similar taste on the front end with a nice hop bite paired with mildly roasted grain...got pleasantly sweeter with warmth with that tropical twist from earlier. Came together very well for me.

Bottle. Taste is thick piney hops with lots of bittersweet citrus and other fruit. A decent offering but I prefer it without the extra ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lagunitas A Little Sumpin’ Extra! has a thick, off-white head, a mostly clear, burnished gold appearance, moderate lacing, and some bubbles. Aroma is of piney hop resin, some high-grade pineapple, and white bread. Taste is similar, and this one quite balanced between the bready sweetness and hop bitterness, so if one is looking for a "hop bomb", this isn’t it. Mouthfeel is medium and Lagunitas A Little Sumpin’ Extra! finishes mostly dry and pleasant. RJT

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
