Hazy deep gold beer. Short lived frothy white head. Light palate, slightly soft. A creamy malt base provides a great base for lovely zesty hops - orange with dashes of lemon and grapefruit. Pine and grass notes lead to a minerally finish with hop spice. Another winner from Lagunitas.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2011 2010-07-18, bottle, 7-5-8-4-15=39
Hazy copper color. There are nice fruity hops in the aroma, and it also has a sweet mix of mountain grass/hay/flowers. Medium body strength, also the sweetness level is less than most beers of this style, the mouthfeel is rather dry; dry toffee flavor, with a touch of grass and hay; quite strong hopping, with some hop resins. Long final. Good without excitement. Another bottle that I kept too long before opening

Hazy light amber color; creamy head. Very nice aroma, citrusy hops and lemon peel. It has a good toffee flavor, with some residual sweetness, giving a creamy feeling; strong hopping, soft and citrusy resins; in the end the bitterness is aggressive, just a bit too much, and this lowers the score. Powerful, obvious Californian hoppy Ale, with a more original lemon profile, appreciated.
