I love me some Lagunitas. This has the classic hoppiness but is not as dark and hard as many of their others. Pours light brown with a big white head. A classic but not the strongest that they have had.

Dec 1, 2009 Pours light golden amber with a big off white head. Aroma is frech citrusy, slighty sprucy resiny hop. Flavor is full of fresh citrusy and tropical fruit like hops with lots of grapefruit and a big bitter finish. Very good.

Nov 30, 2009 22 oz bomber. Pours a clear golden amber with a thick creamy off white head. Aroma is fruity citric tangerine hops, very refreshing and zesty. Some pine all accompanied by a strong caramel and toffee malt back. Flavor starts with a solid caramel malt base but the hops come out quickly and overtake the tongue with citric fruits and resins. Gets a sharp grapefruit like zest in the finish and some alcohol burn. Medium slightly syrupy body and a sharp active carbonation. Pretty good double IPA, which the alcohol burnt less but nicely balanced.

Nov 30, 2009 The Dan Journal #317. Tasted 11/19/09. 22oz bomber. Hazy with an orange hue and golden highlights. Brainy off-white head. Citrus candy nose. Medium to full bodied with a bright body. Good effervescence. Very nicely brewed! Went back for seconds.

Nov 30, 2009 750 ml (I think) Bottle. Poured a rich deep dark orange color with a small white head. Aroma has touches of spice, hops, malts. Flavor is quite refreshing, with notes of sweet malts, touches of spices, and a nice hop flavor throughout. Pine. Finishes pretty well, refreshing and was extraordinarily well priced.

Nov 30, 2009 Copper color with white head. Dominate citrus and pine nose. Solid malt backbone to hole up the big hop flavor. Good IPA.

Nov 29, 2009 A clear copper beer with a large fluffy off-white head. No visible hop haze, leaves lace. Aroma is big cascade hops, flavor is much the same atop lots of hop bitterness, but some caramel maltiness in there too. Finish dry and bitter. Good DIPA!

Nov 29, 2009 Pours a nice gold with a massive, long lasting head and tons of lacing. Strong aroma of grapefruit and a little resin. Quite full and pleasing. Wow, the initial flavor very closely follows the aroma. I expected over powering hops but it ends up surprisingly balanced. It still favors the hops, mind you, but also has some sweetness too. I can feel the alcohol in my stomach, but it doesn’t have a strong presence in the flavor. Mouth feel is also dead center, with medium carbonation. Overall very nice indeed.

Nov 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours a coppery orange color with a small filmy white head. Spidery, leggy lacing. Nose is spicey, resiny hops with a light sticky malt. Palate is stingy and sticky with a bitter finish. Flavor is big piney and resiny hops with a big bitterness and some light spiciness. Very refreshing.
