4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is filled with caramel, citrus, and hops. In the glass it is a golden pale ale with a crispy white head. Hops immediately caress the tongue with a nice balanced caramelized malt flavors to follow balancing out the beer. I only get a hint of citrus on the palate, grapefruit to be exact. Fantastic double IPA

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg, at The Queens Head, Kings Cross, Thursday 30th October 2014. Pours copper in colour with white creamy head that soon sinks. Very thick in mouth, silky, smooth, a little honey/syrupyness. Pink grapefruit and sweet lemony hops get a little drowned out by huge malt presence, but the grapefruit and cooked lemons then slowly asserts itself. Slightly on the sweet side for me but its very, very good. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Dit ruikt naar heel veel hop ! Goudgele kleur en een volle schuimkraag. bier heeft een extreme hopsmaak en is zeer bitter. Is lekker maar er dat zijn de meeste bieren van Lagunitas.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Fantastic, very solid hops taste without too much harsh bitterness. Haven’t had a Little Sumpin Sumpin in a while, but this one is much more memorable, looks like I better load up if it’s seasonal.

bottle. Deep golden with one finger head. Lagunitas knows how to make a top shelf IPA, and this is no exception. Excellent hop flavors. Plenty big and aggressive but not overdone at all.

$2.10 U.S.D for a 12 oz. bottle purchased at the Beer Store, Nashua. Solid buy! Clear gold color with lasting head retention, thick lacing. Looks pretty. Aroma is bright citrus noes, grapefruit, lemons and
No idea how old the bottle is but it’s not an issue. The citrus hops show me long lingering grapefruit and hints of orange. Juicy fruits with a strong malt body that does NOT over power the hops bite, yet gives some balance. The palate has a mild lingering bitterness with a honey kind of malt. Jeez, this is a well-constructed IPA. Crisp and lingering fruity hop finish with the ABV pretty much hidden. Delightful.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(355ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours a totally clear medium gold with a bubbly white head that lingers well, a carpet of lace. Aroma quite sweet with mango, orange zest, resin, tropical fruit juiciness, caramel, biscuit malt, averagely hoppy, likely due to age. Palate pretty sweet, honey and bready malt core, fruit is a blend of citrus and some tropical notes, bit of pine and resin but not too much, drying a little and somewhat astringent. Fairly moderate bitterness on the finish, lighter for a DIPA, just a little grain/bread in the finish too. Balanced, no real alcohol heat. Medium body, slick, softish carb. I think this beer does show its age a little, the transport from Cali to SB shelves is showing. This seems to be on the lighter side of DIPAs in terms of both malt core and bitterness, and yet is still pretty sweet. Need to have it fresh to give a totally fair shake. Pretty good, but not exceptional.

Purchased from Leary’s, the Amesbury location, earlier today. $10.99 for the 6pack. To oversized shifter, it pours an effervescent web color orange with which a fluffy, snowy white head 1½ fingers in length stood. Was quite attractive. Aromas of cilantro/coriander, einkorn wheat, baby spinach, sorrel, Yakima Valley hops, matured bay salt, marsh grass, spent grain, rawhide, pine sap/pine needles, rosemary, cherry tomatoes, and white tea. Tastes the same with the addition of sourdough, sweet basil, sweat, and recycled fiber. Exceedingly floral. Medium-bodied.
