Clear gold pour with a 2 finger, soapy white head that has good retention and leaves some decent lacing. Aroma: Big sweet citrus, fruity and floral hops, sweet malt, a little biscuit. Flavor: Sweet malt, honey, sweet grapefruit and orange citrus, floral and light spicy and cat box pine hops. Medium body, neutral to syrupy feel throughout, medium, sharp carbonation. Good stuff overall, but like most Lagunitas beers I’ve had comes off as simple and soda-like due to a big sweetness and lack of any malt depth.

Beautiful pour with big frothy head. Pale amber. Big hop aroma. Taste is a little sweet with fruit flavour up front and only a little bitterness afterwards. Lovely stuff. bottle at greg?s NY pad.

Hoppy West Coast IPA. Pour us golden yellow with big off white head. Aroma hits you before you even pour it. Aroma is grassy piney mango. Bitter hops up front. Light malty mouthfeel, the malt is just there to support the hops. Grassy, piney, hop bitter finish. A great IPA if you like hoppy beers.

pleasently surprised. bottle. silky smooth mouthfeel with citrus and hop flavor galore. Taste alittle smooth and has a delish bite and aftertaste. Booze is very very hidden.

Hazy fun treat but SALSA BABY!! WOOO. Ok, not as much salsa flavor in this one. Actually none. Lagunitas maybe have been reading my reviews :).

Pours from 12 oz bottle a gold with copper hues, forming a solid off white head. Huge sweet grapefruit and orange citrus hop aroma. Flavour rushes out with fresh citrus and piney hops up front. The orange and grapefruit really stand out, and the malts add more sweetness and smooth over the bitterness. Really nice sweet, citrus in this one. Pretty decent IPA.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Medium yellow brew with dense white head. Aroma of resin, pine, resin... Taste is moderate malts at the start with a hops forward bitter resin - herb - earth bitterness... Yes, a bitter bitterness. I’d guess they wanted it to be bitter. If you are looking for a bitter brew this is it.

Bottle. Clear orange golden with a big bubbly head and good lacing. Pungent hoppy aroma in the nose: citrus, mango, pine, peach and lychee, some caramel malt as well. Medium malty sweetness, fruity and citric hops notes, slightly alcoholic, strong bitter finish, light sour wheat aftertaste, well balanced. Medium-bodied, fizzy and dry-ish mouthfeel. Nice ale.

Smells delicious, spicy, grapey, lychee, piney, grapefruity hops. Super complex aroma for a hoppy beer. Very light yellow, effervescent carbonation. Tastes great, more skunky, funky flavors in the aroma, upfront grape and onion, finishes with biscuity malt and a piney finish. Quite good, alcohol somewhat evident though. Medium bodied and average/high carbonation. Interesting and unique.

Transfer from BA review on 3-10-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a billowy two finger white head. The head has big carbonation bubbles entrapped within, with them slowly popping over time. The head fades very slowly over time to leave a great level of lacing on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is heaviest of a floral hop aroma with a good presence of pine and citrus hop smells. The floral aromas are of a mix of jasmine and an almost dandelion smell. The sweet tangerine, caramel, and the spicy notes of a peppercorn and thyme that are also in the nose complement well the floral and pine hop smells and make for a great smelling brew. Taste – The taste begins with a biscuit and citrus hop taste. Quickly the taste sweetens with tangerine/orange flavors coming to the tongue. Along with these, comes some notes of caramel, which start out weaker, but exchanges in strength with the sweeter citrus over the rest of the taste. Floral and pine hop flavors, that were detected in the nose, start coming to the tongue. They get a bit stronger as the taste advances to the end, but never really grow too overpowering in taste. In the end with a light herbal and spicy flavor coming to the tongue, the beer leaves a rather satisfying lightly hopped sweeter citrus and green taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner to average side for a 7.5 % abv with a carbonation level that is above normal with tons of tiny prickly carbonation bubbles. Normally I like a bit of a thicker body in a hoppier beer, but in this case, the floral and pine hop and spice notes that are in the taste are very well complemented by both the thinner body and the higher carbonation. Overall – Quite delicious. Not the standard hopped brew which is loaded with citrus hop, this one has a very nice hopped profile, blending nicely a sweeter body with a variety of hop flavors.
