Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpiní sumpiní we all need to kick Summer into full swing! Ingredients: Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water, and Hops.

Bottle. It poured a nice light to medium yellow with a slight orange hue and had an average sized (1-2 finger) white rocky head that lasted only a short while leaving behind some nice spotty residue that pretty much lasted throughout thus producing some good sticky lacing. The aroma was a tad sweet and rather hoppy with a mix of floral and citrus hops, a nice sweet grain malt and an earthy yeast with definite notes of citrus (grapefruit and tangerine) and maybe a little peach. Now the taste was unique and had a mild malty sweetness to it with a nice touch of bitterness and a strong hint of fruit initially, and pretty much had the same flavor characteristics throughout with a slightly stronger citrus hoppy presence at the end. The flavor stuck around for a decent amount of time leaving behind a nice hoppy aftertaste which lasted well after the swallow. The mouthfeel was just a bit beyond light in body and had a mild dry yet syrupy texture with a nice soft relaxing carbonation. Overall an IPA that is just a little sweeter than the norm, which was rather appealing and possessed a nice fruitiness yet still ended with the hoppiness that you get from a really good IPA.

A run of the mill aroma with floral, and earthy, tones to it. I guess it could be a more go to IPA if you have some sentimental attachment to it...

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2012 Tasted from bottle into standard pint glass. Poured a light amber color with moderate off-white foam, somewhat lasting with a little lace. Aromas of whole wheat bread and a huge hopbill: flowery, earthy, some pine and citrus. Pronounced malt-sweetness balanced by bittering and flavoring hops, complimented by subtle tang of wheat, which combine with the yeast phenols to suggest apricots and golden raisins. Medium body, lively mouthfeel, lasting bittersweet finish. The high alcohol percentage is warming, but otherwise well-hidden. A unique, masterfully crafted IPA.

Bottle. Pours golden amber with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is intensely hoppy: very earthy and dank, a bit resinous. Flavor is like the aroma. Not overly bitter, but way hoppy. Good malty backbone. Mouthfeel is slick and thick. Alcohol is well integrated. One of my favorite IPAs.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass. A: Pours a hazy pale golden color with slight carbonation showing with a thin slightly off-white head that clings to the side of the glass as poured. S: A nice blend of a piney/florally hops with a slight tropical smell. I wish it were a bit stronger, it has me wanting more. T: Slightly sweet and slightly bitter. A nice blend of sweet malts and a clean wheat taste with an overlying varying hops flavor from florally into tropical flavors. M: A nice creamy body to it with soft yet fizzy carbonation. O: I really like how this tastes, it has a nice complex flavor that makes you want to sip more and more.

From an admittedly old bottle, pours a clear yellow-orange, white cover. Aroma is a floral bouquet, lighty fruity, crisp malt. Taste is nice, a bit of bitter finish, toast, bready malt, fruity hops. Good stuff that withstood my neglect in the fridge for several months, I will definitely look for a fresher example.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Color was yellow golden. Probably an inch of head or so. Nice bit of lacing on the top that lasted throughout. There was also sporadic film on the sides. Absolutely loved this smell. I got floral hops first, followed by citrus hops, mainly grapefruit and tangerine. Really, really good mix. Tasted very similar to the smell, which I was hoping for. Once again, the floral hops came in first, while the citrus hops came in after. Left a bitter finish, but left me wanting to come back for more. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish that stayed good throughout. I liked this beer a lot, definitely the best Iíve had in awhile. There really wasnít a weakness in the beer. Liked it a lot.

Draft @ Coalhouse Pizza. Served in a mason jar, this beer is mostly a standard IPA with a wheaty/barley texture that pairs well with the hops. Not too heavy, but nothing too distinguishing. Solid beer.

Poured from the bottle to the glass, immediate greetings of heavy hops and effervescence. Rich amber colors and smooth through the mouth all the way down. Pleasing in all ways.
