4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Pours a slightly-hsazed golden with a nice white head.
S: Smells very nice. Loads of citrus hops and a little bit of wheat briskness. Reminds me a bit of Gumballhead.
T: Lots of citrus hops and a little bit of pine character. The wheat seems to contribute a bit more to the mouthfeel, but I won’t complain about the hop-forward nature of this beer.
M: Medium bodied and nicely dried out by the hops.
D: An absolutely fantastic summer beer and one of the best I’ve had from Lagunitas.
Serving type: on-tap

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle courtesy of Reklaw, AKA Solan, AKA Expansion Alan. Pours a standard amber with decent-sized white head. Gorgeous slow-sifting lacing. Aroma of assorted fruits, especially citrus, and herbs. Flavors are multifaceted but continually crisp & hoppy. Pine resin, tangerine, coriander, and Fruit Loops cereal. Full and creamy body, medium/full carbonation. Great IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours golden / yellow with a bit of a haze to it and a moderate sized white head. The aroma has piny hops, smooth yeast, orange, spice and a light sweetness - very clean. Medium grainy body with a decent amount of prickly carbonation that seems to enhance the flavor. Starts with a slight toast to the malt, smooth lightly sweet wheat, earthy / piny / citrusy hops and some graininess. The finish is much drier and leaves a resiny taste in the mouth. This is a great beer & it makes me happy that the bottle now say "un-limited release" - so glad this will be around year round now.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy, almost straw like colour, slightly cloudy, decent head. pines & fruity hoppy notes, I also get a little cereal or grain like quality to it. It has an almost resinous/sweety note as well. The palate is fruity hops and has a touch of sweetness in the mid palate and finishes dry & hoppy. A simple, if that is a correct term, well hoped ’il’ brew. It has some intreaguing notes making it almost complex but it reveals everything it has to offer over the first sips. My guess is that it is made in California.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy golden pour - nose of piny, earthy hops, a bit of apricot and a wheaty tang - medium bodied and fairly creamy - a fair amount of wheat character, making the beer taste very much like an aggressively hopped american wheat ale - hops are earthy and slightly peppery, especially in the finish - moderate sweetness - a bit of tropical fruit character - nothing stand out, but decent.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
355ml bottle. Pours a light golden colour with white head that leaves a faint lace. Roasted cereal grain with underlying citrus hops and a hint of caramel on the nose. The wheat really comes out in the mouth, with a biggish hoppy kick through the middle and finish. Different, but not their best offering.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 4, 2010 It is not as magnificent as its sister, Little Sumpin Wild, but this is likewise a very tasty and hard to categorize ale. A fair amount of bitterness, but it is not overwhelming. There is some nice sweetness too, and that rustic quality that some interesting brews have. LSS has character - probably some unusual combinations going on here, but it all works. I have really gotten to like this stuff a lot!

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Breez Thru. Pours a pale yellow with an orange tinge, and a 1 inch head -- Miller High Life anyone? Lovely aroma mixing fruits and mown grass, promising sweetness and bitterness. Taste not as strong as the aroma, however nice sweetness with bitter back. Perhaps Lagunitas best brew, and tasty, just not super.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 15, 2011 Very creamy and smooth mouthfeel, with distinctively floral flavors of orange peel, grapefruit and peach citrus. Hop backbone shows great balance, and this is very light on the palate without any dark malt flavor. Very nicely done, better than their regular IPA.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
bottle. Pours a deep yellow with a nice 1 finger white head which lasts throughout! Big citrus hop nose straight out of the bottle - even the empty bottle has a good smell.... lots of orange and grapefruit. Big soft round body - extremely smooth. Hops and more hops linger throughout with a light bready malt backing. Kinda get the wheaty-esque-ish-ness in the description. Nice bitter lasting finish. Solid IPA and a solid price.
