Orange peel and pineapple aroma. Hazy amber, thin head. Overripe grapefruit, pleasantly bitter. Biscuity wheat finish. There’s a chemical flavor that exists throughout, between paint and formaldehyde.

Very slightly hazy golden with a nice head and some lacing... Piney hop citrus tropical fruit aroma.. Smells better than it tastes, a little fruity... Dry good balance not too hoppy or malty....

12oz btl. Pours a clear golden with a finger of white head. Has a mildly citric and pine aroma. Great citris quality with a great crescendo of lasting hop bitterness. Awesome.

It’s like a citrus orange bomb went off in my mouth. Great orange aroma and taste. Perfect amount of malt to balance but not take away from the hops. Nice clean yeast.

This 12 oz bottle poured pale golden into my tulip, raising a nice but dissipating head that left ample lacing on the glass. This is a really nice ipa, a bit less sweet than the brewery’s standard ipa, but still plenty malty to balance the hops. In fact, the right comp here is probably 2xipa or Two Hearted Ale, both of which also straddle the line between ipa and dipa. This one is clearly an ipa given the alcohol content and flavor profile, but its taste is big enough that you could class it as a time-and-a-half ipa without embarrassing yourself. Really well done.

12oz bottle. Golden pour with a white head and medium carbonation. Citrus and hop aroma with hops being predominant in the taste. Not as much pine as most of the other west coast IPAs. Pretty good brew for us hop heads though.

This beer pours a medium amber with a thin white head. The aromas are citrus, bread and notes of Black pepper. The mouthfeel is slightly sticky with a dryness and bitterness. This was a good brew! Not overpowering. Cheers!~

12 oz bottle at Blanc Burgers in Leawood, Kansas. Pour is a slightly hazed golden yellow with a somewhat loose white head. Head falls with nice lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, bright and fresh, along with a full wheat malt and floral elements. Vibrant and balanced nose. The taste is the grapefruit citrus hops up front, blended nicely with the grainy wheat. The finish closes out with a resin bright citrus tartness that really gives it a nice edge. As it warms, the fruit picks up some sweetness. The palate is medium bodied, brightly carbonated and a dry bitter resinous finish. Unique and tasty IPA. This must have been a lot more fresh than my previous experience, I enjoyed it more this time. (7,4,7,4,15 - 3.7)

++++ ORIGINAL RATING 14-Jul-08 ++++
12 oz bottle purchased at Metcalf Discount Liquors. Pour is cleat golden with a two inch white head. There is a bunch of fine carbonation bubbles floating to the surface of the beer. Nice lacing. Aroma is resin hops, along with some fresh pineapple citrus fruit and a nice amount of toasted malt. Nice balanced nose. Taste is bigger than the nose, grassy resin up front, sweet pineapple fruit in the middle, almost cloying but not quite, and dries out with a mineral finish. Nice transition of flavors. Palate is medium bodied, nice carbonation, sweetness overpowers the after taste, and I picked up on a touch of alcohol. (7,4,7,3,14 - 3.5)

Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus & earthy hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy citrus bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. This is a great beer.
