Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpiní sumpiní we all need to kick Summer into full swing! Ingredients: Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water, and Hops.

22oz bomber. Light straw color with small head. Pretty bready and mildly citrusy aroma. Mid-sized body with a somewhat grassy mixed with bready finish. Tasty brew.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2012 Pours a golden hue with lively carbonation. A loosely built white head packs on top leaving scattered lacing along the glass. Very floral fruity aroma, fresh hops perfume. Flavor is full of fruity hop bitterness that lingers buts finishes clean and not overpowering. Pungent orange notes throughout. Like a hoppy citrus orange juice. The fruity aspects take this to a higher echelon.

Very hoppy. Iím actually having a hard time identifying many specific flavors. Sweet, maybe orange/lemon rind. Itís a good clean ale, but I find it one-dimensional.

Bottle; Pour is clear gold with an average white head with average retention. Nice floral, grapefruit, caramel nose. I do enjoy, for a change, a tasty ipa that doesnít have that heavy bitterness, and I think this brew really accomplishes those concepts. This brew seems more malt forward on the flavor profile; caramel, toast, while the grapefruit and florals round out the hop bitterness. Nice little brew, for sure.

Clear golden pour with white creamy head, not much lacing, lemon citrus hops, thin texture overall kind of light, alcohol % listed high but doesnít seem that much not too complex, nice balance, nothing overwhelming esp bitterness, clean good summer beer

Bottle poured into my IPA glass. Iím really surprised that I have not rated this prior to now as I know Iíve purchased it a few times. I wish Lagunitas put bottled on dates as this one does not seem as wonderful as others I remember. Surely if I have it again I can bump up my rating if necessary. The aroma is soft, mild really. Appearance is clear and tangerine in color, the head faded within minutes. The taste is far more on the malt side than Stone IPA (known fresh) I just had. So it has the sort of flavor and vibe of something that has been sitting on a hot BevMo shelf for awhile. I will rebuy this from a better store soon and hopefully rerate with a better impression as I generally really enjoy the offerings from Lagunitas.

Bottle. This beer is fantastic. A very smooth, non-biting IPA that has citrus/floral aroma, and very well hidden alcohol. A great almost sessionable beer, if not for the ABV. Wish I could get it year round.

Pours a light amber and has taste notes of lemon. It also has quite a bitter taste that tends to linger.

Pours a clear light orange, with a moderate head made up of small interlocking bubbles. Aroma is hoppy, with some big citrus notes (Iím picking up oranges) coming to the forefront. The wheat character is there, but itís subdued. If I was tasting this blind I probably would call it an IPA or Pale Ale based on the aroma. Taste is pretty stunning. I had several of these the other day and they went down smooth and easy. This beer is bursting at the seams with flavor, with huge fruity IPA notes hitting the palate first, chased by wonderful malt thatís highlighted by the wheat. Not all that bitter, which is nice in a beer like this. The second sip showcases more of the hop profile, with big pine and grass notes this time. Malt flavor errs on the sweet side rather than the dry, which means that this one goes down quick and easy - and at 7.3% ABV thatís something you may want to monitor. Carbonation is relatively high, but given the wheat character and malt sweetness, thatís actually welcome. Tastes like an IPA but itís easy to drink like a Wheat Beer. Fantastic and unique.
