Draft @ Federal. Nice full, floral now. Clean, crisp grassy flavors that finishes amazingly smooth. Maybe a little hot up front for a single IPA, but still great stuff.

Draft at Birreria Paradiso. Clear pale yellow, small but thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of lemon peel and white pepper. Taste has lots of citrus flavors and a bitter finish. Very nice.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2010 Sample at the blind IPA tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits. Pours a clear golden-orange color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Thing rings of lacing. Aroma of hops and peaches. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, sweet melon, malt and a bit of pine. The finish is fruity with a hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.

Pours a clear copper orange with a small, white film of a head that leaves no lacing.. The aroma is overpowered by hops. Very citrusy with grapefruit, pineapple, and a bit of pine needles. Smells like Centennial, Simcoe, and Amarillo...a wonderful hop profile. The flavor is toned down compared to the aroma, but still has a lot of hops. The malt is sweet, has a biscuity flavor, but is very clean and thinner than your usual 7% ipa. Crisp and light on the palate, and not as bitter as the aroma would lead you to believe. Nice hoppy summer brew.

This is an interesting mix of a summer lager and an IPA, it has plenty of hops and alcohol, but is also light and crisp. Hops could use a little more flavor though.

On tap at the hopyard in Pleasanton. Pours a light gold color with a small off white head. The aroma is very bright, west coast citrusy with a touch of caramel and pine. The flavor is nice with fresh grapefruit, caramel, grains, and a piney finish. Excellent Ipa!

12 oz. bottle from South Bay Drugs. Pours a cloudy orange-gold with a fairly small eggshell white head. Aroma of caramel and pale malts, piney hops, citrus, wheat, yeast, and honey. Flavor of caramel malts, sugar, pine resin, hops, wheat, orange citrus, and yeast. Pretty sweet. Light-medium bodied, with mild carbonation and a wheaty mouthfeel. Sweet finish, with low bitterness. This was really nice, a sweet, wheaty take on an IPA.

(12oz bottle). Pours dark yellow with white head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Taste is both sweet and bitter-very much like grapefruit. Nice. Body is not quite medium with oily texture and finish is bitter, but not overly so and it smooths out. This is an outstanding IPA-very much how I prefer them.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber tinted yellow gold with a fluffy white head.

Aroma: Grapefruit and pine.

Taste: Spicy grainy malt, pine and citrus hops. A little biscuity in the finish.

Mouthfeel: Crisp, thin, modest carbonation.

Overall: Refreshing, big flavor, easy to drink.
