Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpin’ sumpin’ we all need to kick Summer into full swing! Ingredients: Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water, and Hops.

8/8/10. On tap in a pint glass. Really nice hoppy aroma with citrus, some pine, etc. The flavor is sweet citrus hops and a hint of caramel backing with a big dry bitter kick in there. The breath out is full of pine. Pretty nice stuff, actually!

Appearance: light reddish gold; quite clear with long head stand with near white head Aroma: smells like Gumballhead! Intense citrus; not much resin, pine, or bitterness Flavor: high hop flavor; still predominantly citrus, but some piney resin and a little bitterness show up on the palate; medium-high bitterness; low malt; great balance; definite fruitiness Palate: medium body; dry sensation

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a decent lacing head. Aroma smells of citrus and grapefruit. Seems very acidic. Light IPA taste, with some hops and citrus in the background. Alcohol also seems masked. Would like my IPA’s to be a little more chewy, but still a decent beer from Lagunita’s.

On tap pours golden/straw with medium white head. Aroma is overly sweet citrus with slight pine. Taste is overly bitter which over takes citrus and pine flavor, bitter rides until the end. Doesn’t do it for me. There is too much bitter which overpowers any other flavors, not well balanced.

12 ounce bottle purchased from Nugget, I think. This has a very fruity, citrus hop aroma with lots of mango present. Some light pine is also there along with some dank notes. Fairly sweet, but quaffable nonetheless. Transparent copper body with a strong, long-lasting off-yellowish head present. Starts rather sweet before the citrus mango hop flavors come through in the middle. This becomes quite fruity in the middle with lots of floral character as well. A little Crystal and a little Toasted also seems apparent. FInishes with a bit of a spicy, lightly bitter hop finish. Pretty drinkable. I would like to do a blind tasting with this beer, Racer 5, and Union Jack to see which one wins.

On tap. Light orange in color with a small white head. Aroma is heavy on citrus with pine in there too. Nice citrus flavors up front give way to a pine and some sweet malt. Bitter but well balanced.

Not as good as the Sumpin Extra, but a damn fine IPA in its own right. This beer pours a dark golden color with a very thick and rich white head. The head leaves a huge amount of lacing around the glass, and left a puddle of foam at the bottom. The nose was full of citrusy hops, as did the flavors. The body was very bitter and dry, with lots of citrus and spicy hops. The finish was quite dry and bitter as well.

Pale copper pour with a white head. Some lacing. Light somewhat sweet aroma a little uncharacteristic for the style. Nice mouthfeel. Strong citrusy hopes predominate. It’s tasty but pretty much just one note.
