Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpin’ sumpin’ we all need to kick Summer into full swing! Ingredients: Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water, and Hops.

My first from Lagunitas, And it was a good one (Thanx D. Kurtz) Poured into Pint glass, Hazy golden Yellow, 1 inch head but quickly dissipated, but a thin layer on top....beautiful. It smells of Citrus, Plain and simple. But at first taste it like full blown IPA, American Pale Wheat Ale ? Don’t know about the Wheat. Up front Grapefruit notes, then finishes Piney. As it warms, the light Malt begins to surface, but still a sharp piney bitterness. Citrus hops seem to fade. Not a great balance, but for this type of beer, I guess it’s not a bad thing. Delicious. Now on to the beer store for my next Lagunitas.

12oz. bottle. Nicely sweet, hoppy aroma, fruity and citric with notes of lemon, pineapple and honey. Clear light-medium golden in color with a fine, uneven head. Flavor is piney, bitter and very gently sweet, with touches of tropical fruitiness, citrus and very pale, honeyish malts. Finishes a bit wet with a tinge of herbal hop flavor. Palate is rather low in effervescence, smooth and lightly resinous, body is medium-full. Tasty and easy to drink, also fairly well-balanced, perhaps a bit more simplistic than I seek in the style but this is only a minor quibble.

Pours a golden yellow-orange with a thin head of small, soap-like cream-colored bubbles. The aroma is clean but fruity, with big citrus notes of lemon and orange. The flavor is much of the same, with citrus hops up front, some pine, and a bit of earthy undertones. The texture is quite dry, and the prickly carbonation is a bit harsh.

Bottle from Firefly in Vancouver. Orange gold pour with a big, fluffy, white head. The aroma is dried apricot, mango, honey, grapefruit, orange and milk caramel. The flavour has loads more sweet apricot and mango with some bready caramel malt body fading to bitter grapefruit and orange. This is a touch cloying but has a really nice bright citrus hop profile. The body is velvety with soft, plentiful carbonation. Really good.

Draft at Sweet Spot. Foggy deep gold with fine diminishing white head. Intense tangerine and honey aroma. Slightly gruff c-hops and crackery flavors. Alcohol is as evident as the number portends. Medium body and agreeably tart finish.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2011 Aroma is strong sweet pineapple, strawberry. Appearance is orange copper. Crystal clear. Small white head. Nicely carbed. Taste is pineapple resin hops forward. Not overly bitter.Strawberry present from hops I assume. Malt is very present, but supporting or lifting the hops. A sweet beer, but it comes across as hops sweetness, like pineapple juice. Earthy flavor then comes in to finish things off. Palate is medium. Does a nice job of hiding its alcohol. An impressive beer. Hops are excellent in a unique way you do not normally find. A cut above other American IPA’s.

Golden copper in colour. Plenty of fruity hop aroma on the nose, just beautiful! Palate is packed with hop flavour and well balanced with good malt flavour. The hops star in this beer and I’m very happy they do.

Had this in a bottle. Poured a pale straw yellow with a white foamy head. Smelled of subtle ripe mangos and was extremely qauffable.

Coppery orange, nice head. Smells tasty - nice mix of citrus and caramel. More caramel and citrus in the flavor as well. OK, not really anything ground breaking here, but tasty, nonetheless...
