smells like straight fresh hops. this is a wheat beer? totally doesn’t taste like 7 plus percent. not quite as good as the other recent lagunitas seasonal ipas, but still damn good. Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Very fresh and tasty IPA. Smells like sticking your nose in a bag of hop flowers. Easy drinking and the 7.3% is not noticeable. Could be a crusher of an ale with its relatively smooth drinkability. afireinside96 (827), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a big lasting head. Smells very hoppy, pine and grapefruit. Simcoe and Amarillo? Yes please. Hops aren’t as prevalent in the flavor but they are very much in the forefront (grapefruit, pine, peach, mango) along with some tart wheat and a dollop of caramel. Restained bitterness. Has some sweetness on the finish. Oh my, very tasty. Papsoe (14904), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Sampled on 7/2/2009. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrus and piney hops, some malt and some orange. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and piney, lots of grapefruit. Nice balance. Good carbonation. It is a nice crisp and dry IPA with just enough hops and bitterness. Hides the 7% alcohol very well. A great summer IPA, there is a certain lightness to this beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Hank1980 (744), Athens, Georgia, USA

Some mild faint spice also noted. Taste is really hoppy, lots of citrus and some light pine, with a decent malt backing. Finish is little bitter. Mouth is smooth and well carbonated. Very refreshing APA/IPA.
