Pours an orange color with a moderate off-white head. Floral and citrusy aroma. Flavors are citrusy hops, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon with some pine showing in the finish. Firm bitterness and a touch dry. Light sweet malt backing. Drinks light for 7% and refereshing, excellent IPA for the summer.

Tastes like orange cream soda with caramel, lemon, and pine. Nice mild sweetness, good alcohol backbone, excellent ipa.

On tap at Cole’s. Surprising light colour for a hopped up beer. The hop aroma is certainly there. Good lace. Taste of moderate grapefuit. Big mouthfeel. Served too cold, a rare brainfreeze from beer. Above-average carbonation. Drying finish, with a mint-spice aftertaste. IBU must be high.

Super aroma of citrus and pine. Slightly hazy light gold in color with a nice white and oozing lace. Juicy fruit hop flavor, definitely lots of hops to go around, tons of lemons, limes and grapefruit. Enough maltiness to keep it honest with a dash of caramel. Great beer.

Lagunitas is becoming to pale ales what Unibroue is to Belgian Strongs - releasing a long series of very nice, but very similar beers. This falls in the same category. Very pale orange, decent head. Aroma grapefruit hops with some pine. Flavor is some gummy caramel malt with balancing grapefruit citrus and pine hops. Nice beer.

Bottle. Pours a coppery gold with a decent lacing head, though it reminds me of closed -cell foam with the tightly packed bubbles. Aromas arent real strong, but has some citrus(lemons?), a touch of pine, and some malt presence. Fairly smooth in drinkability. Good bitter throughout and in the finish.

On tap at the BrewKettle, June ’09. Light hazy gold, strong citrus aroma, short white head. My first thought is that it’s light bodied and very easy to drink, but it’s also got a very nice lemony citrus hop and a light grapefruit peel zing at the finish. Very smooth, I would have never guessed it to be 7.3%, I ordered a 2nd pint.... This is a perfect summer IPA. (July 1 - now in bottles at 101, going to buy a bunch of it!)

A beautiful beer colored like iridescent gold amber. A decent head relaxes swiftly leaving behind a lacy ring. Strong aromas of citrus. I have to say this really is a smooth IPA with a creamy texture. It just rolls off my tongue. Big citrus rind impact with a balanced malt backbone. The finish is ling and lingering. This is juicy and downright delicious.
