The aroma has a pleasing hoppy profile with grapefruit, orange peel and on a big draw revealing a bit of pine. Behind the malts is a modest level of sugary malt sweetness. The taste begins with smooth and sweet with citrus hop flavor enriched by sweet malts. It quickly becomes more and more bitter with a moment or two of moderate strength citrus hop bitterness and a touch of resiny pine. The hop bitterness recedes into the finish leaving modest malt sweetness and citrus hop flavor fading away into the after taste. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 27, 2009 12 oz. bottle fro Bruisin Ales. A rather spare white head quickly recedes into a clear, orange/gold body. Fresh, hoppy nose of grapefruit zest and pine resin overlays some toffee and light stone fruit. Medium body and carbonation, resinous mouthfeel. Lots of fruity flavors and caramel sweetness quickly followed by a big hit of hop bitterness that ushers in a long, dry finish. Were it not for the weak, collapsing head, this would have been a 4.0+. pantanap (1341), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 27, 2009 On tap at the brickstore. Mine was distinctly yellow and a bright one at that with a nice white head on top. Wonderful, beautiful hops going on here. Citrus and pine in the aroma. Big fruit blast in the flavor up front and then it fades into a pleasant bitter citrus fruit, grapefruit, and a tinge of pine on the finish. The malt body is a little different here and not as heavy as a caramel malt based ipa or double. Lighter malt reminiscient of some wheat, is at play here. Overall, a very refreshing drink and perfect for 95 degrees on a Saturday afternoon. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Pours a lighter amber color with a white head. Aroma is of citrus hops, light caramel, and not much else. Flavor is light and malty at first but the finish is bitter from the citrus hops. Overall better than I would’ve hoped for. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 26, 2009 I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this beer since the bottle didn’t really say much about the beer. But, my gamble paid off. This is a mighty tasty, very hoppy beer. The hop flavor is more citrus sweet than bitter. There was lots of head, but that’s probably just because i was sloppy with the pour. Overall, I am quite happy with this beer and might have to grab a six pack after trying this single.
