Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpin’ sumpin’ we all need to kick Summer into full swing! Ingredients: Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water, and Hops.

Draft at burger fi anchorage. Almost the color of orange crush, creamy white head. Aroma of spruce and lychee, tropical fruit, really nice. Taste is juicy, orange and sprucy. Palate very nice, carbonation subdued a bit, body rich, but not too thick. Reminds me of deschutes fresh squeezed a lot, maybe a bit more spruce. Finish is slightly spicy, slightly sweet, well balanced between bitter hops and sweet.

Bayards Ale House NY. Must be the straightforward IPA offering albeit weighs in slightly heavy at 7.5%. Very clean, fresh and linear. Hard herbs and touches of tropical fruit. Lively finish with pepper.

Pours a clear gold from the bottle with a thick off white head that leaves a large amount of lacing in the glass. Aroma is citrus and malt...very sweet. Taste is bitter at first with lemon on the tongue and orange zest. Has a bitter backend. A pretty good IPA.

Bottle in SFO. Floral hoppy aroma with notes of wheat and tangerine citrus. Pours medium golden colored with a thin white head and decent lacing. Starts with smooth wheat flavors with light notes of hops. Finishes smooth with lots of tangerine citrus that lingers on the palate. Excellent wheat.

Pours a clear pale gold medal with thin white head. Aroma is super floral hops, tangerine, hay, juicy grass hop. Flavor is gooey floral hop & super dank resin. Med sweet, solid regular on the Lagunitas scene.

Nice hazy deep golden color with a thick white head. Nice lacing. Powerful nice aroma. Fruity and grapefruit hoppy. Medium + body. Tad sweet and a nice fresh bitterness. Soft carbonation. Malty, tropical fruity and grapefruit hoppy flavor. Lovely balanced and tasty ale.

12 oz bottle from BOTW (Rochester), served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear golden with a fair white head. Aroma: Strong, sweet hops and malts, citrus, resin and dank with a eucalyptus leafiness, richly perfumed, the citrus character is odd, there’s sumpin’ in the nose that I can’t quite place...it’s that eucalyptus, medicinal plant kinda thing. Palate: Medium body, moderate carbonation. Flav.: Follows the nose well with a big hit of lemon Vick’s cough drops, resin/pine, sweet-ish light malt, eucalyptus, dank, hard to describe precisely; lightly sweet with gentle (yet present) bitterness and a honeyed-lemon finish.

Sumpin’ odd and unique here. I like the overall “feel” but can’t quite wrap my head around the aroma and flavour.

Nov. 30, 2014; 12 oz. bottle in shaker glass. Light, pilsener-type pour; appearance of this IPA would be unremarkable except for the persistent thick head & lacing. Mild aroma of pine & citrus. Somewhat dry, yet quite smooth for so hoppy a brew; the substantial ABV is well-hidden. A zesty, summery IPA -- and another winner from Lagunitas.

I was really excited to try this one as I’ve been disappointed in other Lagunitas beers other than the Hop Stoopid which I really liked. This one did nothing to set it apart in fact it’s one of the least favorite IPA’s I have rated.
