Poured an orangey gold colour with a good lookin’ dissipating white head. Enticing aroma of citrus fruit and piney hop with a trace of malt for good measure. Seriously fruity flavour that initially hits you with a hearty citrus dose of orange/pineapple then follows up with a load of bittering hops. Bloody luverly. Smooth and pleasantly sweet. Really enjoyed this. California dreamin’...... Scouser (40), Pennsylvania, USA

Loads of sweet malt to balance it out. Flavor is a smooth floral and citrus combos nicely balanced my sweet malt and caramel. This beer is too drinkable. The "Sumpin" line is by far my favorite for Lagunitas. Magicdave6 (5490), London, Greater London, England

Alround rating: Caramalt, honey sweetness, floral mandarine and lemon hops, fairly bitter. A bit on the sweetside for me, as i did it head to head with the ipa and the ipa won. Tasty stuff though. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle thanks to Tom. Darkish gold with a thin white film. Fantastic chewy hop aroma with the malt a little more upfront than usual. Huge mandarin in the flavour. A little card. Faint cereal. Was thinking this was going to be a whole lot better. The finish pulls it right back on track however. A big fruity smack in the mouth with just a perfect level of bitterness and a really faint hit of honey. Excellent bit could be so much better. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Bottle pours a hzy copper color with a light head that is off white. Pine, resin, oranges, and citrus zest in the aroma. Light hop bitterness of the same pine and resin with a bit of citrus too. Reserved compared to their own and other IPAs. Slight yeast flavor.Bit of brown sugar and burnt sugar notes. Bitterness goes all the way through but does not overpower the body. Nice beer. thewolf (5727), Kolding, Denmark

Pours lightly hazy orange-golden with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, lots of apricot and grapefruit. Some grass, fat caramel malts to balance. Soft carbonation, great dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, fat maltiness, sweet resiny fruity hops. Apricot, grapefruit, melon, red apples. Long, lingering bitterness. Very nice.
