Bottle. 7.5% ABV per the label. Pours a lasting white head, with extensive lacing, over a slightly hazy, gold (SRM 5) body....nose is pine, citrus, toffee/caramel, hint of licorice....taste is strongly bitter to start, then sweet citrus, pine, toffee/caramel arrive, along with the barest hint of pineapple, finishing with a lightly floral, licorice tinged, lingering, moderately sweet bitterness....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, carbonation low. This fits well into the IPA style. The hops do not have the floral refinement often found in the best of this style, and additionally, are definitely more "West Coast" than many. Finally it is a bit low in complexity in both the malt and hop back bones. It should be sweet with a calculated F.G. of 1.019. BJCP 8/3/13/4/7

Appearance is pale and a little cloudy. Aroma, however, cannot be beaten. It is all grapefruit and delicious. One of my favorite beers, recommended by chance at Binny’s. So good. I am in love with this. A little bit of grassy, but almost all citrus. Wow. Sex in a bottle. As reflected by the label.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2014 Bottle from a six-pack purchased by my always outrageous cousin, toffsbury. Pours pale and a little cloudy. Aroma is amazing citrusy hops - the best there is. Holy moly, citrusy and grassy hoppy taste. Just delicious.

Pours light orange with a small white head that leaves no lacing. Aromas of grapefruit and pine. Flavors of citrus (mainly grapefruit and orange) balanced by a nice malty sweetness. Pretty bitter with a dry finish. Solid but doesn’t have the robustness of a top IPA.

Draught at Lagunitas Brewery. Oily dark gold with lace and a shiny orange tint. Fruity nose with orange. Sweet orange and tropical fruit flavor, very sweet overall. Thick, oily palate. Decent, with a nice fruitiness.

A really nice IPA, although personally I prefer a bit more hoppyness than this has to offer. Still tasty!

A really good clean and refreshing IPA. A lot of hops in the aroma and in the flavor with a great malt sweetness to balance. Extremely easy to drink and the alcohol is masked and complimented well. A great beer.

This brew has such a nice character. Seperate from the classic Lagunitas IPA, besides containing more alcohol, this delicious ale gives a lighter, more citrus feeling to the palate. Very hoppy and strong with a unique bite, pay close attention to the aftertaste. one of my favorite beers.

Glorious IPA. Pours a hazy deep orange-gold with a thin white head. nose heavy with caramel, orange, and pine. Flavor is spicy with loads of hops, citrus, and caramel. light brown sugar and doughiness give it a nice chewy mouthfeel. long, bitter aftertaste that gets drier as it sits. Let it warm up a little before drinking it if it’s in your fridge.
