Bottle. Pours golden amber with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is intensely hoppy: very earthy and dank, a bit resinous. Flavor is like the aroma. Not overly bitter, but way hoppy. Good malty backbone. Mouthfeel is slick and thick. Alcohol is well integrated. One of my favorite IPAs.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass. A: Pours a hazy pale golden color with slight carbonation showing with a thin slightly off-white head that clings to the side of the glass as poured. S: A nice blend of a piney/florally hops with a slight tropical smell. I wish it were a bit stronger, it has me wanting more. T: Slightly sweet and slightly bitter. A nice blend of sweet malts and a clean wheat taste with an overlying varying hops flavor from florally into tropical flavors. M: A nice creamy body to it with soft yet fizzy carbonation. O: I really like how this tastes, it has a nice complex flavor that makes you want to sip more and more.

From an admittedly old bottle, pours a clear yellow-orange, white cover. Aroma is a floral bouquet, lighty fruity, crisp malt. Taste is nice, a bit of bitter finish, toast, bready malt, fruity hops. Good stuff that withstood my neglect in the fridge for several months, I will definitely look for a fresher example.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Color was yellow golden. Probably an inch of head or so. Nice bit of lacing on the top that lasted throughout. There was also sporadic film on the sides. Absolutely loved this smell. I got floral hops first, followed by citrus hops, mainly grapefruit and tangerine. Really, really good mix. Tasted very similar to the smell, which I was hoping for. Once again, the floral hops came in first, while the citrus hops came in after. Left a bitter finish, but left me wanting to come back for more. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish that stayed good throughout. I liked this beer a lot, definitely the best Iíve had in awhile. There really wasnít a weakness in the beer. Liked it a lot.

Draft @ Coalhouse Pizza. Served in a mason jar, this beer is mostly a standard IPA with a wheaty/barley texture that pairs well with the hops. Not too heavy, but nothing too distinguishing. Solid beer.

Poured from the bottle to the glass, immediate greetings of heavy hops and effervescence. Rich amber colors and smooth through the mouth all the way down. Pleasing in all ways.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2011 Medium/light yellow.Nice frothy creamy head with decending lacing. Aroma in this is so nice, fruity floral some spice/sweet grain. Some dankness/resineyBut mainly a solid pronounced fresh clean sweet fresh tropical fruity hop. Its in the taste as well and compliments this malt, its smooth almost oily medium-full bodied but has some tart bite and a crisp finish.Great drinkability but you dont want to drink it too fast to enjoy these hop flavors. For an ipa(which i didnt realize it was) i would say its mildly bittered but its perfect for this beer.the bittering is a clean rifined citrus/spice like bittering, kind of grapefruit i guess but more smooth and subtle like.Finishes well with a nice soft smooth subtle sweetness also. Another great beer from Lagunitas-of course.Of the 3-5 i tried everythhing they have is impressive.

What a surprise. The label didnít call it an IPA, but it is hoppier than most IPAs. A fine beer.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Rerating after second taste. Fantastic aroma. Typical pour and head. Taste is fairly standard IPA, nothing very exciting here. Not terribly bitter, but also not very outstanding in any way.
