Growler from 9th Ave Vintner shared w Streets Andy Erica as we pregame for Hurricane Irene. Big, soft, white head on top of a glossy gold pour. Malts and vinegar on the nose, light sweet fruits on the tongue. Creamy with a tart aftertaste. Not intense, but intriguing.

Outstanding sweet and hoppy aroma. Nice golden cloudy color, but little thin head. Good weight on the palate and nice carbonation. Sweet hoppy taste and easy to session.

Pine oil aroma: tangerine, perfume, and spicy finished wood. Bready English pale malts. Grassy. Typical aromatic brilliance by Lagunitas. The appearance is cloudy, hazy copper orange. Slushy white head. Healthy carbonation. Head lasts. The flavor is spicy, woody hops. Dry, very pale hops flavor. Pine oil and just a touch of ruby red grapefruit. The finish is a surprising spicy bitterness. The palate is chewy, thick, a bit of a choker. Smooth, oily at the end. A sweet-smelling, grapefruity IPA. Really a delicious beer.

Bottle, of the 12 oz. variety. Iím a fan of Lagunitas....wonderfully-crafted brews with character. With attitude. With a little sumpiní, sumpiní... Anyway, this little beauty is fun to pour. Noice (sic) appearance. Wheaty. Just looking at it, you know youíre in for a robust beer...because the girl on the label has a bust. Or sumpiní. Smell is a hoppy-malt frankenstein of aroma. Taste is strange, in a good way, of wheat-hops-barley malt mish-mash, yet so true to the Lagunitas-unique yeast note. What did I just write? It tastes like a Lagunitas brew, OK? Palate? Starts sweet, feels refreshing, ends slightly dry. Overall, this is a winner. Because I said so. Sue me....

from TheHopster - clear straw color with small foamy head that completely disappears, minimal lacing as well, seems to have its carbonation intact so dont think i have a bad bottle, notes of citrus and floral hops, with a decent malt taste on the other side, a bit watery, alcohol well hidden, ok

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma is lots of piney hops, with a little citrus thrown in. Flavor is lightly sweet with a big dose of grass, citrus, and piney hops.

Draft guest tap at Emmettís, Downers Grove. So Iíve had the Lille Sumpiní Extra, and the Little Sumpiní Wild, and only now do I get to try the daddy. But itís on tap, so itís worth the wait. Pours a hazy light amber with a foamy Belgian type head. A hoppy nose supported by some fruity esters. The first sip drags in the big hops, for a double IPA taste, but somewhat smooth foe a Cream Ale malt body. Again, some fruity esters in good proportion.

Mens Health magazine rated this beer as one of the top 5 beers to drink for the summer. Now, I can understand why. Excellent beer, aroma of hops!!! Yes!!! small head, but a well balanced ipa made for summer months. I would not have guessed this brew is 7.3% abv, hides it very well.

Bottle. Pours a nice golden orange-like color with a frothy off white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy with lots of grapefruit, some grassy notes, peach and abricot along with lots of sweet citrus fruit, like orange and some light sweet malty notes. The flavor is also nice and hoppy with some sweet malt to back it up, I get the grapefruit, sweeter citrus fruits like tangerine and orange, some peach and abricot too. The body is medium with a lightly dry mouthfeel. Overall a pretty darn solid West Coast IPA!

The smell is phenomenal! Obviously, it smells like hops, but thatís all; no malty body. Poured hazy orange with creamy white head. Tastes like biting into a ripe strawberry. This really impressed me, but ipaís are my favorite.
