Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpin’ sumpin’ we all need to kick Summer into full swing! Ingredients: Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water, and Hops.

One whiff of this golden colored ale and you know you’re getting hops. Full-bodied, fruity, good sipping brew. Bitter and slightly sour on the afterbite. Nice mix. A slight bit hazy in appearance. I like what Lagunitas has been doing lately.

Tasted on 8/27/2010. Spruce hop aroma. Copper, clear appearance. Medium bitterness, malt presence that gets lowered by the hop flavor. Medium body, slick texture. Long finish. A nice IPA from Lagunitas.

Tap. Poured with a light amber color and an off-white lacing head. Floral aroma with honey, grapefruit, and hops. Light body with medium carbonation. Dry, long lasting bitter aftertaste. Pretty good.

Pours a clear light honey to dark golden color. Aroma of lavender, lemon, grass, grapefruit, and a hint of brown sugar. Flavor is grapefruit, sugar, floral, pine and alcohol. Quite a bit of flavors for an IPA.

12 oz bottle. Apart from the pin-up label this beer just seemed lacking in almost every category. Aroma was faint and slightly chemical. Appearance is too golden and clear. Taste is overly bitter without much memorability, palate is fizzy. I hate to be down on one of my favorite breweries but I would much rather have had an ordinary Lagunitas IPA.

(bottle) A clear amber body with a big cream-colored head. A big floral hop aroma with citrus (orange), pine, grass. Medium body with a slightly oil feel. Mildly sweet all the way through, with a rising bitterness that stays in the after taste.

A deep golden pour with white head. The nose is hoppy with pine and citrus, plus there is some malty wheat and a slight toasted marshmellow aroma. It has a medium body with lively carbonation. The taste is bitter all the way through the dry finish.

12 oz bottle. 08.23.10 Pours slightly orange with yellow hues and a mild one fingered creamy white head. The nose is citrus hops that give off hints of pineapple, lemon, and slight orange zest. Accompying this is a beautiful caramel malt and piney resin. The wheat also shines through, giving the beer a light and sweet taste. The taste is initially very hoppy, citrus fruits such as pineapple, lemon, and orange come through, followed by a light wheat taste, caramel malt, and more hops. The mouthfeel is slightly creamy, lively carbonation, and is also slightly sticky. This is really a pretty great ipa for summer. Very enjoyable.
