3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a see-through yellow gold with light white head. Aroma of piny hops. Flavor is mildly sweet and well-balanced with hoppy goodness. Very tasty, not as bitter as most IPAs.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2014 Terrific fruity IPA that still packs enough of a bitter punch to fit within the style - tasty! At 7.5% ABV, itís scarily sessionable somehow, too. My favorite from Lagunitas. JUNE RE-RATE: still like this one, but downgrading it slightly. Itís a tad sweeter than my fave single IPAs, and I have grown to prefer some other Lagunitas that Iíve sampled since. NOVEMBER 2014 RE-RATE: Been two years since I had this. Donít like it nearly so much now. It has some good flavors, but there is also a floral and pine character so strong I almost choke and gag. Coupled with the sweetness, itís a tough one to put down. Not drainpour level, but I still never want to get it again. Just too much and too harsh despite good elements.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
INFORMATION: 12oz bottle with no freshness date. I know that Lagunitas usually puts a code on the bottle from which you can determine what day of the year that it was brewed, but there is no such code here. This bottle is from this Springís batch, so itís pretty fresh. 64 IBUs....7.5% ABV.
APPEARANCE: Pours a pale yellow-orange color with a good two fingers worth of off-white colored head floating on top. Plenty of carbonation bubbles visible within the glass. Pretty good clarity for a wheat beer. Impressive lacing sticking to the inside of the glass with each sip.
NOSE: Orange, lemon, mango, juicy fruit gum, musk melon! This beer is fruiTy with a capital T! Behind the wall of citrus lies subtle hints of this being a wheat beer.
TASTE: Good light wheat flavor up front, but itís short lived. Fruity flavors come rushing in just as the aroma suggest. Thereís a touch of hop bitterness towards the middle, but this beer is big on the citrus, and not so much on the bitterness. The flavor of the wheat shows itself again towards the back end. Soft fruity finish begs for you to take another sip.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium bodied with a soft carbonation.
OVERALL: The best of the best where wheat beers are concerned.
Moreyís Bottom Line: The first time that I had this, I was floored. Iíve had it several times since, and nothingís changed. If you see this, by all means....grab a six pack!

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Surprisingly clear for such a heavy beer. A bit tart on the finish. I think I like a Little Sumpiní Wild better. It seems a little smoother.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Great beer that is smooth on initial taste, it has a hoppy finish and you can taste the ABV especially after 2 of these suckers! Love this beer!

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: Pours a cloudy golden amber color with slightly underwhelming carbonation, likely due to its time sitting out unbottled. This (along with the serving glass) also hurts its head, both in terms of retention and lacing. The head (and some decent lacing) does appear after agitated swirling, however.
S: Massive notes of tropical fruits; mango, papaya, pineapple, grapefruit, and the like. This is something Iíd expect from a good DIPA, not a ídinky wheat aleí. Thereís also some vaguely sweet, bready malt buried beneath the fruit explosion.
T: Hoppy - but not in a generically bitter sense. Rather, it yanks out huge tropical fruit flavors without any oppressive bitterness. The wheat malt gives a unique sweetness combined with the hops...only thing is, this sweetness honest-to-God becomes cloying after about halfway. Even still, itís pretty good, but the first part is much better than the second.
M: Well carbonated, betraying its initial weak carbonation appearance. The body is a little thick, and it finishes rather wet at first, transitioning into some dryness in the aftertaste.
O: This is almost a tale of two beers. At first, itís one of the best beers Iíve ever had. Later, itís tiring hop/malt sweetness renders it merely ígoodí. Still a nice wheat IPA thatís a great value, even when itís less than fresh.

Pours amber with a lasting white head. Great aroma with apricot, pine and grass. Taste is grapefruit, pine, and caramel. Almost too sweet but had a nice bitter balance.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear golden large bubbles, a little over filtered looking. Hoppy nose is fruity with tropical fruits (mango, pineapple) and a little sweaty. Flavor is balanced with a tropical fruit complement to a sweet caramel malt with a moderately bitter finish. Medium palate. A little zingy and tingly. Not bad.

Beer is goood. Apricots. Tastes a bit bitter like an ipa but not as in you face. Seems like on of those Le freak type ipa blends.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Too much sweetness from the malt in the aroma for me, but the flavour is more nicely balanced with a good blast of hopping coming through. Itís got a smooth mouth feel and a lightness that makes this dangerously sessionable.
