Very light in color, small head which
disappears immediately. No lacing to be found. Smell is fruity, apples and cherry come to mind. A
little bit of the hops comes through as well. Very
sweet. Taste follows the nose exactly. A little bit of the
hops at first, followed by the fruity sweetness from
the smell. Balances well. No malt to be found. Mouthfeel is thin and goes down very smooth. Feels
great for a beer with this much abv and character. The smell is terrific, and the taste follows it
a little too much. The sweetness can be a bit
overpowering, but a good beer nonetheless. Would
drink again for sure.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 25, 2016 Tap and bottled: Pours clear and deep golden with a little white head. Fruity nose with citrus, grapefruit, peach and notes of wheat. Crispy flavor with sweet citrus, caramel and piney notes. Can’t taste the 7.5 % alcohol. Medium bodied, watery to creamy texture and average to soft carbonation. Ends up more dry with a fresh bitter hoppyness. Crisp and easy drinkable.

On draft in NYC. Looks good; very orange with nice head. Smells good too; like a very hoppy saison. Tastes like it smells. Mouthfeel is good too. Overall, a tasty beer I was glad to come across.

13/III/2012 12 Fl. Oz. bottle from Supreme Liquors (Cambridge, MA) @ home - BB: n/a (2012-235)
Clear amber coloured beer under a big creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, passion fruits, pineapple, almonds, somewhat sugary, a bit piny too. MF: good carbon, full body, creamy smooth texture. Taste: very fruity, lots of peaches, some pineapple, almonds, brésilienne nuts, bit piny. Aftertaste: piny with hints of sweet fruit, pineapple, passion fruits, mango, very bitter dry ending. Man, this is good stuff.

Smells and tastes like liquid pine sol, and I mean that in the best possible way. Lemony and citrusy aroma and flavor, very smooth. Not shy in the bitterness department either, but still well balanced for an IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smell is strong leafy hops with some citrus notes present as well. Pours a beautiful, bright gold with no foam. Tastes of relatively bitter hops accompanied by light citrus/lemon flavors. Very slight carbonation with a thin texture and good flavor. Overall, another tastey brew from Lagunitas. Pleasant hop bite with light fruit and citrus undertones. I’d give this an A rating.

Pours clear orange-gold with a small white head. Lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is very fresh and sharp-- hops, citrus, and general fruitiness. Taste is mildly bitter with a hint of sweetness. Medium-bodied. Finish is mild. Overall a very nice IPA, with a taste more fruity than hoppy.

Bottle. Ok, I just have to say it. This smelled so strongly of OREGANO that my wife, three feet away, asked, "What the hell is with that beer?" Such an odd scent. Now, to be fair, maybe this was an older bottle. I purchased it as a single bottle from a bottle shop that’s been known to have some dusty bottles. But wow, oregano is a new scent. Anyway. The appearance was gorgeous: Frothy head with crazy thick lacing settling into a film over a golden translucent fill. The palate was a medium bodied sticky texture, and the taste was hop forward settling into a more floral note with an acidic aftertaste. Very unique IPA. The scent settled down as I drank it, taking on more of a floral hop tone, and I started to pick up some more subtle fruit notes. Overall, for a crappy first impression, this beer’s palate, appearance, and taste rejuvenated my opinion of it. Not bad after all.
