4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a nearly clear medium cold with a rock solid one finger white head. Really amazing head retention and strong lacing cleaning to the sides of the glass.
Aroma is packed full of tropical fruit. Tangerine and pineapple along with cut grass. A little bit of bready malt is buried underneath but the citrus hops totally dominate.
Flavor is a hop wallop from the get go. Very juicy and heavy on pineapple, mango, and orange. Some cut grass sneaks in but takes a back seat to the tropical fruit. Bitterness is moderate to high and is long lasting. There is some sweetness here but it is nicely balanced by the bitterness. Not much malt flavor, maybe some bread, with a nice soft wheat mouthfeel.
Overall, a really good beer and probably my favorite so far from Lagunitas. Awesome example of the style and dangerously drinkable with the 7.5% completely hidden. One to pick up whenever possible.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Real nice IPA. Light gold pour with lacing white head. Evident hops on the nose. Refreshing, crisp, sweet, citrusy. Really does taste like summer. Nice bitterness. Well balanced.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a bottle, one-finger of head (that's what SHE said). First thing that hit me was the aroma, which I've only experience in Hopslam (at $19 per sixer). The 7.5 ABV is discreetly hidden under the perfect blend of hops and malt. I was expecting more "hoppy" bite, based on other ratings, but this finishes easier (no bitterness). Grapefruit, lime, honey, nutty flavors. First bottle lasted 4 gulps. I'm ashamed of myself. Good thing I've got 5 more :)

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A 12 ounce bottle. Pours a straw-gold color, mild turbidity and lightly carbonated. Nose is piney hops. Mild bitter for an IPA, pleasant slimy mouth feel with a tad of citrus. Alcohol is somewhat tastable. This beer is a near perfect harmony of its elements. Everything is "just right." Do yourself a favor and try one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Theory at the table is that I bought the beer cuz of the label. I’d argue it’s all about the research. A deep orange marmalade in the glass with a somewhat disappointing razor thin slice of foam on top. A decent, highly drinkable IPA. Starts with a watery citrus, slides into leafy hops in the middle & finishes with a moderate bitterness. Also slight notes of weak sweat tea & coniferous. Drank this way too quickly for a 7.5% brew.

So the aroma is the kinda that BO / cat piss hop note with some grapefruit and other citrus. Slightly sweet with really bringing out that citrus in the flavor. Solid pale wheat.
