4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
INFORMATION: 12oz bottle with no freshness date. I know that Lagunitas usually puts a code on the bottle from which you can determine what day of the year that it was brewed, but there is no such code here. This bottle is from this Springís batch, so itís pretty fresh. 64 IBUs....7.5% ABV.
APPEARANCE: Pours a pale yellow-orange color with a good two fingers worth of off-white colored head floating on top. Plenty of carbonation bubbles visible within the glass. Pretty good clarity for a wheat beer. Impressive lacing sticking to the inside of the glass with each sip.
NOSE: Orange, lemon, mango, juicy fruit gum, musk melon! This beer is fruiTy with a capital T! Behind the wall of citrus lies subtle hints of this being a wheat beer.
TASTE: Good light wheat flavor up front, but itís short lived. Fruity flavors come rushing in just as the aroma suggest. Thereís a touch of hop bitterness towards the middle, but this beer is big on the citrus, and not so much on the bitterness. The flavor of the wheat shows itself again towards the back end. Soft fruity finish begs for you to take another sip.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium bodied with a soft carbonation.
OVERALL: The best of the best where wheat beers are concerned.
Moreyís Bottom Line: The first time that I had this, I was floored. Iíve had it several times since, and nothingís changed. If you see this, by all means....grab a six pack!

Pours a light gold with a thin but puffy white head. Big pine aroma up front with a little marmalade, a little floral. Piney taste, nice syrupy bitterness, slightly sweet, big winner.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden with a full head that laces well. Light nose of piney hops, with citrus in the background, against a touch of malt sweetness. Light body and well carbonated. Taste is mostly piney hops against some grapefruit and sweetness. Well balanced, but not very flavorful or complex overall. Clean finish with a bit of hop flavor and bitterness. Slight grapefruit bitterness tends to linger.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Appearance has a nice golden amber color supporting a thin dissipating head leaving fair lace. Smell has a nice balance of malt and hops bringing out a sweet citrusy aroma. Taste has that same balance with the sweet malt and hop that finishes clean. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. One of the better and easier drinking IPAís Iíve had in awhile.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bitter and sweet, perfect blending of the two tastes. Pale and clear with medium whipped cream head. Aroma is yeast, sour, citrus, floral all at the same time. Taste is more focused on sharp citrus (yellow grapefruit) with subtle flavor elements of the above aromas. Nice!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Delicious citrus explosion in both aroma and taste. Aftertaste is a little medicinal, though. Creamy mouthfeel. Pours with a good, strong head that holds up to multiple sips. This one is a winner if you like strong and bitter ales.
