INFORMATION: 12oz bottle with no freshness date. I know that Lagunitas usually puts a code on the bottle from which you can determine what day of the year that it was brewed, but there is no such code here. This bottle is from this Spring’s batch, so it’s pretty fresh. 64 IBUs....7.5% ABV.

APPEARANCE: Pours a pale yellow-orange color with a good two fingers worth of off-white colored head floating on top. Plenty of carbonation bubbles visible within the glass. Pretty good clarity for a wheat beer. Impressive lacing sticking to the inside of the glass with each sip.

NOSE: Orange, lemon, mango, juicy fruit gum, musk melon! This beer is fruiTy with a capital T! Behind the wall of citrus lies subtle hints of this being a wheat beer.

TASTE: Good light wheat flavor up front, but it’s short lived. Fruity flavors come rushing in just as the aroma suggest. There’s a touch of hop bitterness towards the middle, but this beer is big on the citrus, and not so much on the bitterness. The flavor of the wheat shows itself again towards the back end. Soft fruity finish begs for you to take another sip.

MOUTHFEEL: Medium bodied with a soft carbonation.

OVERALL: The best of the best where wheat beers are concerned.

Morey’s Bottom Line: The first time that I had this, I was floored. I’ve had it several times since, and nothing’s changed. If you see this, by all means....grab a six pack!

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2016 Strong citrusy, floral, lemon hop aroma. Pours yellow but very clear with a big frothy white head. Flavor is pretty dry, just a light sweetness from the malt which is a bit wheaty. Hops dominate in flavor. Crisp. Well carbed.

A boire.

Draft 0.15l at Beer Temple Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 17.07.2016. Last farewell tasting for cika Jan. Taste with Zlotta and Potjebier. Pour it clear golden color with small white head. Aroma fruity and floral. Taste sweet fruity, pretty much spice in the middle, nice easy drinkable IPA, light body, creamy, fizzy, astringent. OK

On tap at The Amsterdam Beerfair 2016. Nose is tropical fruits. Body is clear pale, head is big, offwhite, creamy, mostly lasting, excellent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, tea, leaves, spices. Medium sweet, light bitter. Finish is medium lasting hoppy medium bittersweet. Medium body, dry texture, soft carbonation. Easy, refreshing, simple but tasty, perfect balance, nice one.

Clear yellow appearance with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have touches of floral and skunky hops. Fairly light and wheaty.
