Keg at BrewDog Camden, London. Pours clear, red-gold with a fine, creamy head. Ripe berries, pine, toast on the nose. Flavor is very sweet with some tangy, ripe fruits, pine, caramel. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Has a sticky, sweet, ripe fruity finish, bit of caramel, juicy berries, resins, some salt. A bit heavy but not bad overall.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home thanks to Frank (Ramnuts) 04/12/12.
Pours clear golden with a thin off white head that soon clears to bubbles around the edge of the glass.
Nose is pine, hops, a little grass, light caramel, sugars, grapefruit and other tropical notes.
Great flavours to this IPA - bitter grapefruit, orange, light mango, hops, pine, light sugars, touch of lemon, caramel malt in the background.
Medium bodied with soft carbontation leading to a bitter sweet finish.
A solid IPA and would revisit over and over (if I wasn’t soo obsessed with scrathcing new beers obviously!).

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 12oz. It’s a golden beer, almost clear, and topped by a dense, off-white head. Malty nose with a light grassy scent. Caramel, tropcial fruit mix, citrus and spiced hints too. The flavor has a maltyness in the back, with citrus, tropical fruits and some grassy hints up front. A nice bitterness kicks in towards the end. Smooth, soft and almost full-bodied, finishing with a fine bitterness. Although a bit too much on the malty and sweet side, it’s a fine IPA. 120413

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Fruchtig-herber Antrunk, recht trocken.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: The pour is a golden brown color with nice some orange tint. The head is surprisingly minimal.
S: A lot of pine and citrus notes from the hops, with only a slight touch of wheat (not that I’m complaining). This is more of an IPA or APA from the nose, anyway.
T: The flavors are very similar to what the nose would indicate. Good citrus (orange) and bitter hop flavors, a touch of sweetness on the finish.
M: On the lighter side of medium in terms of body with a nice crisp, refreshing finish.
D: A much better take on the Pale Wheat Ale than the usual "hefeweizen" that American breweries make. The hoppiness really makes this a great refreshing brew.
