4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 1, 2013 Pours clear and golden. One finger of bone white head which recedes somewhat quickly. It leaves nice trails on the glass though as you drink it down. The aroma is pear, pineapple and pine. Mouthfeel is silky and syrupy, with medium carbonation. Taste is more pear, pineapple, wheat and pale malts, and a dry, lightly bitter finish. Alcohol warming is present. A delicious brew which goes down easy at 7.5 abv.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from vons. Not quite as good as a normal lagunitas ipa in my opinion. Hoppy and has the distinctive lagunitas flavour. Seems like it should do more given the percentage

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Piney, sprucey hops are followed by bright fruits (mango, peach), sustained by hay and honey for a well-rounded, if a bit medicinal, aroma. The mouthfeel is moderately syrupy and adequately fizzy. The taste is bitter, with residual sugary sweetness for a dry, astringent finish. Flavors are pine, mango, citrus, and some interesting sweet/herbal notes: eucalyptus, honey, turbinado sugar, and very light molasses notes. Delicious.

A litte hint of mustard in the aroma that is present in the malts as well. Piney hops in the finish. Tastes like an English barleywine.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is my favorite IPA. If you like grapefruit & citrus tastes & smells in your beer, you’ll probably like this. It is my go-to beer during football season.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent.
Very simple and generic/plain...the hops don’t really jump out and they’re just the usual grapefruit-resin variety...nothing else at all going on in the nose. Ok flavor balance but rather abrasive and citric. Meh.
