22 oz bottle shared. Pours golden and hazy with a rocky, off-white head that lingers and sticks. Smells like yeast, citrus fruit. Flavor follows closely, good but nothing special. like an IPA. dry finish.

Draft. Pours bright gold and clear. Nice hop spicy nose but a bit toned down for Lagunitas. Taste is very bitter and dry with a touch of sugar. Big alcohol kick. Decent but a bit hot.

It was ok but not nearly as good as the regular Little Sumpin'. The Belgian yeast gives it a fruity aroma and taste.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 chinchill (585) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 25, 2013
22oz bottle served in a Unibroue snifter.
Pours a deep butterscotch color with orange highlights and some visible carbonation. The small sudsy head is short-lived and only spotty but sticky lacing is left on the glass. This has a rather funky aroma that reflects sweet malts, Belgian yeast and hops in about equal parts. The flavor include suggestions of fruit, honey, toffee and spices, with a light peppery quality.
M: medium body and smooth with a dry finish.
O: A special and fine Belgian style ale, reminiscent but not as excellent as the Lagunitas Lucky 13 Ale I had last night.

This is a flavor packed ale. Really strong smell of fruit and is yellowish in color. Very fruity taste and another great beer out I lagunitas.

Tastes like a slightly fruity/yeasty dogfish 90 minute. There's a slight Belgian yeast taste, but mostly big malt sweetness balanced by lots of hops. I was expecting more of a Belgian pale ale, but I should have known that lagunitas basically doesn't know how to make a beer without a huge hop kick. One of the better beers I've had from them. Would definitely love to have a 6 pack of these to come back to more regularly.

Two finger head, creamy white, good lacing, clear golden brown color, malty caramel aroma, bitter start with nice finish.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 redpooba (374) - New York, USA - JAN 19, 2013
A cloudy yellow-gold with a soft white head. Quite hot on the nose with the alcohol. The body is really only hops and in a blind taste I would confuse it with a unbalanced IPA. Most belgian Strongs will have more depth and character which is missing here. Its a good beer but just not a good Belgian strong.
