4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2013 Look 8/10
Drinkability 18 /20
Solid beer, caramel notes jump out to me. Light, buttery and easy to drink. I would buy again, probably wouldn’t brag about it though.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an amber gold with a thick white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, heavy malt and muted hops. Taste is slightly bitter and funky, malty with slight alcohol presence. Not bad

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
The taste was just ok, but that’s not usually why one buys an 8.8%, or at least that’s not why I did. Was not aware that Belgium was known for its malt liquor. Be careful this stuff kicks back, keep bail money handy.

Amber color with a thin lacy head, sweet floral aroma with hints of grapefruit. Flavor had a little spice and some pine cone with a sweet after taste.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a mostly clear golden color with a big white rocky head that sustains well and leaves nice lacing. Aroma of honeyed biscuit, some light fruit and hint of bubblegum. Decent amount of malt flavor and sweetness in taste with some honey, herbal hops, citrus rind bitter and some spiciness. Mouthfeel is light medium bodied with medium carbonation. Starts sweet but finishes dry and spicy bitter. Interesting flavors that meld well enough and are drinkable but not quite quaffable.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mostly floral hops, some tropical fruit. I’m not getting much in the way of yeast. Tastes more like an IPA than a Belgian to me.

Tap. Orange yellow, mildly hazy. Good lacing. Floral, alcohol, slightly sour. Tart as it goes down. Wild thing...I think I love you....but I wanna know for sure.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
October 30, 2013 - bottle from Brandon. Cloudy yellow pour with large white head that lasted and lacing. Aroma was fruity, spice, belgian yeast and malt. Taste was consistent with aroma, but had quite a bit of alcohol. Lots of spice and lots of alcohol just didn’t work for me. Plus there was a bitter metallic aftertaste.

Pours a hazy yellow orange. Aroma is citrusy. Taste is initially sweet followed by a peppery long bitterness that lasts through the finish.
