October 30, 2013 - bottle from Brandon. Cloudy yellow pour with large white head that lasted and lacing. Aroma was fruity, spice, belgian yeast and malt. Taste was consistent with aroma, but had quite a bit of alcohol. Lots of spice and lots of alcohol just didnít work for me. Plus there was a bitter metallic aftertaste.

Pours a hazy yellow orange. Aroma is citrusy. Taste is initially sweet followed by a peppery long bitterness that lasts through the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

More wheaty than the original. Wheat seems to overpower the dry hop that makes sumpin sumpin so good. Not bad if you're in the mood for a Belgian like beer but don't want to crack open a 750ml. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted from draft. Pours a cloudy orange with white head. Good lacing. Aroma of citrus fruit, belgian yeast and spice. Taste is sweet malt with moderate bitterness. Citrus fruit and belgian spice notes present. Very well balanced. Not an overpowering bitterness. Really blends good with the malty sweetness. Overall great tasting IPA. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Definitely a great belgian IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Standard IPA flavors upfront. Tropical fruits in the aftertaste. Tangerine and other citrus. Very soft feel. Smooth.

Tap at the Hopleaf, Chicago. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is malt and Belgian yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a malty yeast slightly liqourice palate with a short bitter finish. Needs more life and more flavour. Itís an American Leffe Blonde but not as good.

Bottle. Nose of heavy dark caramel but really sharply hopped, strongly doughy and spicy and earthy/woody hops with yeast and a whole bunch of related bi-products. Slightly hazy golden pour with a rocky, creamy dense eggshell head. Taste relatively dry with medium-strong bitterness, light sweetness only perceived from the oily hops, and not from residual sugar; caramel and earth with strong booze showing but not burning, lighter spice, and the dough is still there but it and its malt counterpart are very muddy. A little slimy/sticky but a rounded body, touch of tannic squelch and tartness thatís only hinted at, lightly carbonated. Big orange juice and rind, grapefruit, light wheat, dank woody hops with gentle resin. The yeast is fruity and Belgian, but here is only support. Fresh, clean, and very fun!

Pours a clear golden orange with thick white head. Belgian yeast, malt, clove, fruit and citrus aroma. Yeast, malt, clove and fruit flavors. Light body and lots of carbonation. Yeast and fruit finish.

Poured from bottle to glass. Nice clear golden with white head which dissipated fairly quickly. Aroma is primarily hops full of citrus and pine. A slight pepper aroma. Mouthfeel is nice with a light body and moderate carbonation. Taste is primarily bitter throughout. I anticipated a bit of "funk" or "farmhouse" since this was marketed as a wild, but really didnít get too much. I donít know if Iím disappointed or just happy to have a good beer. More of an IPA, though, than a "wild". Overall, a VERY enjoyable beer!
