Another Big Sister of the Little Sumpiní Sumpiní AleÖ. Loads of Malted Wheat for a Curious Malt Foundation and a Light Color, But Our Belgian Yeast Leaves a Huge Flavor and Complexishness.

Tap at the Hopleaf, Chicago. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is malt and Belgian yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a malty yeast slightly liqourice palate with a short bitter finish. Needs more life and more flavour. Itís an American Leffe Blonde but not as good.

Bottle. Nose of heavy dark caramel but really sharply hopped, strongly doughy and spicy and earthy/woody hops with yeast and a whole bunch of related bi-products. Slightly hazy golden pour with a rocky, creamy dense eggshell head. Taste relatively dry with medium-strong bitterness, light sweetness only perceived from the oily hops, and not from residual sugar; caramel and earth with strong booze showing but not burning, lighter spice, and the dough is still there but it and its malt counterpart are very muddy. A little slimy/sticky but a rounded body, touch of tannic squelch and tartness thatís only hinted at, lightly carbonated. Big orange juice and rind, grapefruit, light wheat, dank woody hops with gentle resin. The yeast is fruity and Belgian, but here is only support. Fresh, clean, and very fun!

Salmoniform (648) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Poured from bottle to glass. Nice clear golden with white head which dissipated fairly quickly. Aroma is primarily hops full of citrus and pine. A slight pepper aroma. Mouthfeel is nice with a light body and moderate carbonation. Taste is primarily bitter throughout. I anticipated a bit of "funk" or "farmhouse" since this was marketed as a wild, but really didnít get too much. I donít know if Iím disappointed or just happy to have a good beer. More of an IPA, though, than a "wild". Overall, a VERY enjoyable beer!

Bottle from 16 Tons, Eugene. Pours a light, golden color, little to no head. Aroma sweet, fluffy, some citrus and wheat notes. Body rich and moderately lively, finish sweet and almost vinous, some spice and wheat notes, too. Great value.

Beautifully hoppy smell over the golden pour with a lasting ľĒ sudsy head. ..very palatable with a lasting hop that leave you wanting another. Overall, this is another very nice Lagunitas ale and I will have to go back to stock-up on this limited release before itsí gone.

Pours bright golden amber with a white head. Aroma of banana, bubblegum, white grape, tropical fruits (cherimoya?), light grapefruit. Taste of lush tropical fruits (banana, passionfruit), grapefruit, bubblegum, hint of toast, and peppery yeast. Pleasant bitterness. Smells sweet but finishes on the dry side. Nice creamy mouthfeel. I love this beer so much.

very drinkable for the abv. nice sweetness, a little too candy-ish but not overwhelming. somewhat medicinal, but good. reminds me of green flash rayon vert but a little sweeter. nice pillowy head on this one. a winner, but not as complex or intriguing as it could be. still pretty tasty and fun

MIBRomeo (2559) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 17, 2013
Dark Golden/Caramel colored pour w/ a dense white head with a thick soapy lacing. Peppery yeasty aroma, well hoppped a bit spicy and lightly floral along w/ some very light bread notes. Full well coated palate. Flavor is warm in the finish the nearly 9% shows up a bi tthere. Sweet malty flavor a touch of caramel and almost a sweet nutty note along with some fruity hops and a light white pepper spice. Definate BSA, but quite enjoyable.
