4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Grapefruit and lemon rind, sharp Belgian phenols, banana, honeydew, honeysuckle, herbaceous, sweet cracker underpinning. Finish is long lasting fruit and resin. Really awesome and a phenomenal value.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber poured into my Duvel tulip.
A - Pours a hazy copper orange with a strong one finger white head that leaves light lacing down the glass.
S - Strong hop aroma consisting of spicy, resiny, hops with a hint of the alcohol that is contained in this one. A little sweetness from the malt and a little yeast? A good nose but not great.
T - Plenty of spicy, resiny, hops that leave a nice bitter feel on the pallet. Lots of sweet malts with a touch of bready yeast. Finishes with a strong, dry, taste from the alcohol. Pretty good taste but a tad on the boozy side.
M - Sticky sweet with medium flavor and body. Moderate carbonation with a good balance of flavors.
D - Fairly good offering. I liked this one but I don’t think I would sit down and drink a bunch of these all at once.

superb, grain dried fruit and a exponent of the Sucks. Way into belgian category, nice plum raisin and great palate and carbonmation. Sucha good final taste of belgian spice.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Love the malt aroma, and the slight phenolic nose really made it special. Plum and fruit and big malt balanced perfectly. Great beer

Poured from bottle into a tulip glass
Appearance- The beer pours a nice, slightly hazed, amber color with a two finger billowy and thick yellow tinted head. The head fades as big bubbles trapped within pop over time leaving tons of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is overall rather sweet with lots of tangerine and tropical fruit smells of mango, pineapple and papaya. Along with these aromas is a light but nice biscuit smell. Mixed with these are some spice aromas of nutmeg, allspice, cardamom and clove as well as some hop smells of a pine and grassy nature.
Taste – The taste begins with a more bready flavor upfront. Along with these flavors is a lighter fruit flavor of a peach, pear and mango. A hoppiness is present upfront as well, being mainly of a grapefruit and pine nature. As the flavors advance more sweetness of a tangerine nature comes to the tongue growing stronger to the end of the taste. Along with the tangerine so too comes some funky tastes of a grassy and hay nature. A little bit of spice of clove and nutmeg come to the tongue more toward the middle of the taste. The spice remains rather light however and is quickly overshadowed by the increasing tangerine and hop tastes. Toward the end, the hop flavors are an equal mix of an herbal, pine, and grapefruit taste and when mixed with the grassy funk and the fruit sweetness, one is left with a sweet, but rather crisp taste on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner to average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average to slightly above average. The thinner to average body and higher level of carbonation are rather nice for the fruity and Belgian flavors and overall bring a nice crisp feel to the brew.
Overall – This is a rather tasty and nicely hopped and balanced Belgian IPA. This is certainly one to try if you get a chance.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz bottle from John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Aroma is citrusy, grassy, and fruity, with hints of banana, lime, and licorice. Mouthfeel and taste begins creamy and sweet, and finishes sweet, bitter and slightly tangy/sour. I liked the balance between the maltiness and hoppiness, and also how the malt and hops went a long way toward smoothing out the Belgian yeast flavor. I didn’t particularly care for the tangy finish, but this is still an excellent beer!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour of gold and good white frothy head. Nice citrus nose with hints of Belgian yeast. Hops are punchy up front, but nice balance of malt with that yeast on the finish.

This golden colored ale has a great aroma of grapefruit. It has a big balanced smokey and hop flavor. Citrus flavors come through really well.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 12. Has a grassy, barnyard, dankish aroma to it. Flavor is crisp, but finishes creamy. Definitely has a strong bitterness to it like the pith of an orange peel.
