Another Big Sister of the Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale…. Loads of Malted Wheat for a Curious Malt Foundation and a Light Color, But Our Belgian Yeast Leaves a Huge Flavor and Complexishness.

golden yellow with huge white head..full of citrus, fresh florals and a slight caramel and bread malt profile..seems like a iipa to me...has some of the yeast characteristics tho to classify as a belgian i suppose..

This starts with a citrus hop aroma, with a bit of funk in the background. Pours a clear amber with a large, fluffy, white head. Interesting flavor... a strong hop presence, caramel malts, and a bit of Belgian spice that seems a bit out of place. Drinkable... but I think I’ll stick to the other Little Sumpin’ ales over this one.

pression @ OTH.

Pours a hazy golden yellow, nose is quite pungent with big yeasty esters. Taste is a perfect melding of the crisp citrus hops and the fruity yeast esters. Perfect level of dryness makes it full of flavor but easy to drink.

On tap at SD Brew Co. They’ve got 30 taps or so but I kept hittin’ this one because i don’t know when I’ll see it again. Nose is sweet hops and that Lagunitas malt profile. Thick head with sticky lace. Hint of funk and leather on the nose. Taste light grape sweetness. Alcohol to honey to hay. Interesting mix.

The Hops hit quick with this one, but overall an excellent beer. Good stuff. Amber beer with a reddish tint w/ white head. Flavor is quite full, and has almost an IPA taste with a fruity kick that is not grapefruit. Different, and I enjoy it a lot. Thank you flying saucer San Antonio

Tallahassee, Fl. - Liquor Loft - 22 oz bomber. Dark copper pour, sticky off white head that leaves nice lacing. Fresh sprucey aroma, some floral hints as well. Patented Lagunitas citrusy hoppy flavor. Some malty, caramel-like sweetness balances it out. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. Another solid entry from Lagunitas - I swear if I did a blind taste test of their beers - I would not be able to tell any difference - but I still like them.

Pale bording on gold with a white head of fine bubbles. Ample lacing and a smooth mouth feel. Floral hop aroma with a hint of sweet white grapes. Fruity and bitter with a bit of spiciness. A very well rounded beer with a nice unique flavor.

A: The pour is a nice golden orange color with a surprisingly small white head and some minimal lacing. S: A big burst of citrus hop aroma up front gives this one much more of an IPA feel. With a little warming up, some of the yeast esters come through and I pick up some bubblegum, pepper, and spicy yeast esters. That said, the hops are still dominant. T: Fairly heavy on the spices (yeast contributions) with some great fruitiness. Tangerine and grapefruit are the biggest fruit notes I get, and the bitterness is there, but does not overwhelm the beer. M: The body is medium with a carbonation that borders medium and high--not over-carbonated, however. D: I wasn’t exactly sure what the "wild" character of this beer was upon drinking it, though some research has shown this beer did spend some time with Brett. At this point, it’s like most of the other good Lagunitas beers: hoppy.
