Pours a golden orange color with frothy off white head. Heavy lacing. Aroma of citrus hops and pineapple. Taste is floral and pine hops. Tropical fruit flavor throughout. Hops are balanced out with the wheat and yeast. Nice bitter sweet finish.

12 oz bottle: Pours a nice orange with a big whtie head. CO2 relaease is constant and forms a plume in a fluted tulip. Aroma is complex with citrus hops, bready malts, and nice yeasty wafts. Taste is nice and hoppy with a citurs blast. Comples yet smooth and a little dry on the finish. Palate is nice due to high CO2 release. Probably my favorite offering from Lagunitas to date.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice and bitter with a good yeast character. I’m missing the spiciness i usually associate with belgian strong ales, but it’s good. You’ll find lots of piney aroma punctuated by a sweet malt underbelly. The taste is fruity, malty, with a hoppy punch. I really like how the fizzy gives a little bite. Quite good.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a pillowy white head. The aroma is of floral hops, much like an IPA. Initial flavor is mildly sweet with some flowery hops but quickly moves to a bitter finish. Too bitter for my tastes.

The Belgium yeast used in this beer combined with the wheat makes an impactful taste. Nice unique body and overall flavor.

I have had a little sumpin sumpin ale, and to be honest I was expecting a little more from this beer because of how much I liked it, I think the type of yeast they used takes away from the hoppy taste of the beer to some degree. I like it, just not as much as the original sumpin’ sumpin’.
