RBSG ’08: Provided by Greg Koch while drinking in the garden Note: I thought this said Y2K but from what I could find the abv is exact as this and other attendees seemed to have put their ratings here. Poured chunky but a clear amber color with no head. The aroma was of apples and brown sugar. Sweet smell with alcohol fumes running up the nose. The flavor was sweet and malty. Sugary with a full body and sticky mouthfeel. Warming in the throat.

Dark pour with decent head (on tap). Cocoa molasses with a little sour grapefruit. Good flavor. Refined taste for amount of complex flavors.

Bottle courtesy of Greg Koch at our stop at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on 08/03/2008 on day three of RBSG 2008. Dark caramel body with a small off-white head. Big malty caramel aroma. Dry caramel and some dry floral earthy hops. Medium full body with low carbonation.

Brown sugar gone wild. Very sticky palate. Clingy, long-lasting head. Citrus/caramel notes.
