Bottle @ Hotelroom, Denver. Pours very dark reddish golden with a nice offwhite head, lots of small bubbles heading for the surface. Aroma of caramel, toffee, marcipan, citrusslike friut, orangepeel. Taste is sweet bready malt, caramel, lots of sweet dark friut like plums and raisins, fresh hops with flavors of grapefruit, orange. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Very nice fruity and hoppy BW, and for the price a sure try. Ill try and get hold of some more, and check the aging potential. 130311

Pours a clear copper color with a full orange/tan head. Aroma is bread dough and hops. Sweet caramely malt flavor along with a little burnt sugar and lots of robust hoppiness. This is quite good, but I think I’d call it an imperial IPA.

Tap at brewpub. Pour is murky brown with only a whisper of a head. Aroma and flavor loaded with toffee malt, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, and faint dried fruit. Mega good stuff. So deep dark and smooth. Drinks incredibly easy.

Hazy caramel brown in color... Aroma of bourbon and caramel sweetness... Flavor is rich in caramel, sugar, candied dates and bourbon and oak... Didn’t think the gnarly wine could get any better...

A nice barley wine style ale. Dark brown sugar and pitted fruits warm the palate. Pours dark orange brown.

I had this beer at the SLO Xtreme beerfest. It pours a cloudy dark sorghum color with a foamy taupe/tan head. It demonstrates excellent head retention. Chocolate syrup aroma. Viscous, with chocolate syrup up front that yields to hints of coconut. My friend even called it piña coloda. This beer is a lot of fun. Not something one would imbibe all evening, but a shifter after a steak and potato dinner would hit the spot.
