4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap available at the brewery only. This version was 12% + ABV and poured deep, dark coffee color with nice head and lasting lace. This is the port version of beer, big, thick Australian dessert-like dried-fruit leather layered atop coffee, cocoa, melted black licorice flavors. Try this as a nightcap with sticky toffee pudding.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bistro barrel aged fest 2010. Pours black, as far as I can tell, with a well-formed one-finger tam head and decent lacing. The aroma is excellent - lots of capuccino as well as bourbon barrel notes. A great base stout also comes through, with chocolate, roast, and vanilla. The flavor is absolutely huge and goes on forever. Great espresso, along with rich dark chocolate, vanilla, roast, sugary sweetness, oak, and bourbon. There’s also a spiciness to it, almost like chile peppers were added. Very complex. Full-bodied, decadent and rich, with a good carbonation level. This may be a little amateurish of me, but I liked this beer a lot. Really awesome and intense stuff.

Dark thick beer blocks out light entirely. The beer smells like caramelized sugar and cream. Taste of the chocolate then creamy then turns a little alcoholic coffee bitter at the end. Thick and syrupy delicious.
