An aborted batch of their Old Gnarleywine ended up tasting nearly as good as that they were hoping for, so they bottled it. God bless capitalism. OG 1.100 IBU 51.1

Not on the bandwagon with this one. The raw alcohol flavor is just too much in the forefront, not allowing the sweeter finish to take priority, which in my opinion would be better

This is my lowest-rated beer of all time...by far. Super bitter and hoppy. I could literally barely drink one bottle. Actually I didn’t, having poured the last few ounces out. Giving the remainder to the six pack to a "friend".

Appearance is a nice Amber with a thin head that doesn’t go away Smell is somewhat citrus, caramel, caramel malt, Taste is very warm/alcoholic, brown sugar, lingering piney bitterness Palate is medium-full body with medium carb that is creamy Overall it’s a good beer, a sipper, and a little hard to get a read on. Maybe it’s because I just brushed my teeth

Bottle. One of the better beers - solid barley wine. Could drink this all night. Very good

12oz into taster. Reserved red Amber brown color. Oily surface and feel, corn, Amber red, and biscuits in aroma. Wonderful retention in head, more booze emerges in taste, coconut rum, rasins.... mellow finish, then slight sweet tripping Billie’s. Grapefruit, orange, and kiwi all emerge though the booze, frontal cases of red grape, pepper, floral arrangements, and pine usher in. Fresh cantaloupe rinds emerge in aroma too. Sticky and phat tounge pounce, fully loaded strong ale. Barely wine really. Cheers.

Cask, The Queen’s Head, Stockholm. Quite sweet. A bit too hoppy to my taste.

Bottle from mchughs. Pours deep copper with off white head. Sweet caramel, light pine hop and some fruit esters in nose. Molasses, treacle sweet with syrup finish. Slight carbonation stops it being too much so.

Love it! Tried in originally on tap at Cugini’s in poolesville. Nice flavor notes. Caramel, bread, roasty. I think this is becoming my go-to lagunitas brew ( over the IPA)

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance was a clear reddish-orange with a medium sized white head. The aroma was a sweet malt experience. The taste had a sweet malt and bread combination.

Small bottle bought in Bottle Jockey. Slightly sweet hoppy aroma and taste with tropical fruits notes. Aftertaste with strong hoppy piney bitterness and slight bready notes on the background. Very good, but as DIPA, not a barleywine.
