The coffee has just a little bitterness at the end. A very smooth coffee beer. GranvilleTim (476), Granville, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 14, 2009 Dark ruby brown pour with a brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt. It has a real nice rich coffee, roasted malt flavor, with some creaminess coming out at the end. It has a little bitterness also, but the balance of the flavors is well done. Once again, a great tasting bomber for $4.49. Nice lacing. twindog (85), Hampstead, Maryland, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Smells like fresh coffee and chocolate, very good aroma. Taste like sweet expresso, caramel and vanilla. Fullbodied, chewey with a very slight wonderful bitter. Finishes very clean. This is an excellent beer. I’m surprised the rating is in the low 90’s. 0o9i (333), Reno, Nevada, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2009 Bomber. Deep, garnet body with a small head that vanishes without a trace. Aroma of roast coffee, dark fruits, chocolate, burnt toffee. Medium-full body with nice, light carbonation for a dry finish. Loads of coffee accompanied by prune, baker’s chocolate; not so bitter, fairly acidic. Lots of roast. Some pine hops on finish. goldfish19 (34), Long Island, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Updated: Oct 7, 2009~ Purchased this 22 oz bomber from Frank’s Beverage in Glen Cove, NY. The appearance of this stout is nothing crazy, but then again, your buying this beer for the taste. The aroma is predominantly coffee, followed by some roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. The taste is of rich dark coffee and roasted malts, which finishes with a bitter coffee aftertaste. The 8.3% ABV is well hidden behind all the flavors, making this one truly drinkable. A well-behaved stout overall, but it’s far from outstanding. ~
