Some coffee and chocolate malt in both taste and aroma - not very complex, reasonably balanced. Thin mouthfeel, which is disappointing. Overall not very exciting or interesting. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA

Pours a clear and very dark brown/red color with a nice frothy light brown head. A really nice nose; sweet roasted cappuccino flavors mostly, some light fruitiness also. The flavor is dominated by a rich chocolate and milky cappuccino, very rich, decadent and extremely fresh and natural. Sweet and very creamy, some light bitterness in the finish. Nice. A top-ten mid-morning brew. tugg407 (12), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 20, 2009 THOUGHTS: One of those wonderful coffee beers that even has the sourness of coffee. The only other one I’ve had like this was Meantime Coffee porter. Hid alcohol well.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown, that look black in the glass until held to the light when it became a bright red. It had a small to average, off-white head that fully diminished. The aroma was mostly just sour coffee. The flavor stared out a little sweet and more bitter and sour, while it finished mostly sour with an average to long duration. There was sour coffee, dark roasted malt and a little chocolate. The medium to full body was oily with fizzy carbonation and an astringent finish.
