Thin dark pour with a good frothy head. Smells like coffee. Not much else can be picked up over the coffee aroma. So good. Dark roasted coffee taste with a good amount of sweet mocha flavor. Thumbs up!

Pours black. Aroma and taste are chocolate and coffee. Starts sweet and has a lightly bitter finish. Little lighter bodied than most imperial stouts.

On tap. Pours pitch black with large tan head. Aroma is coffee and maltiness. Flavor is big roasted coffee with tons of dark chocolate. Absolutely fantastic. Nice bitter finish. And this beer also manages to not be overly syrupy. Well done.

During my last beer session, it just so happened that Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout was one of two coffee-infused dark beers with a dog on the label (the other was Laughing Dogs Anubis). What are the odds of that? Interestingly, I liked both beers about the same. The incorporation of Cappuccino is a phenomenal idea. It brings out the more reserved sweetness from the toasted malt and brings out the taste of vanilla and cream. That said, I wanted more of that Cappuccino flavor than this Imperial Stout provided. A bigger aroma would help, also. I was still quite satisfied with Cappuccino Stout. The flavor was incredibly smooth and the alcohol was almost completely hidden. Thats not always something you can say about this type of ale.

Bottle. A- Coffee, cocoa, roasty. A- Black color, very dark liquid, tan head. T- Coffee, cocoa, roasty, slightly bitter, slightly malty, robust. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- I was planning on getting a nice rich complex cappuccino flavor from this beer, and while it was good, it seemed pretty weak. Needed a bit more coffee, but all in all, not a bad beer.

Bomber from Rays in Tosa. Cellar aged 4 months. Pours cola colored with a tan head leaving some spots of lace. Aroma is - holy HUGE coffee! Tons of luscious coffee/espresso. Later caramel and bakers chocolate show through, but this is big time coffee. Taste is of heavy roast, bitter coffee beans, sweet cocoa, caramel malts and some bakers chocolate. Very nice bitter and sweet strong contrast. Medium to full bodied with just a touch of alcohol. Finishes long and nicely blended between bitter and sweet, with the coffee bean/chocolate bitterness slightly winning out over the caramel maltiness. Big fan! If you enjoy coffee, this one will be for you. 15.2

Draft. From notes. Loads of coffee and dark chocolate dominate. Taste is sweet and bitter. I like it, this is worth seeking out.

Bomber. Pours a soda brown with a light khaki head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma of coffee, burnt chocolate, and alcohol. Taste is roasted chocolate malts, dark chocolate, coffee, alcohol, hints of black liquorice and dark fruits. A bit of cappuccino there, but definitely a pronounced coffee taste. Alcohol presents is pretty forward as well. Long slightly bitter, absolutely delicious dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee finish. Full bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Very well balanced and blended flavors. An absolute steal for the price, (I think I paid $6 for the bomber). Worth seeking out.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with light brown head. Smells of toasted malts, coffee and a slight sourness. Tastes of the same with a slight bitter finish. Very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
