bubbleflubber (2077) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - NOV 8, 2015
Released as a special-aged vintage "2014". Pours into the glass almost opaque black with a frothy tan head that leaves generous lacing. The nose is spot on for cappuccino. Flavors are full of bold roasted coffee, a hint of cream, a hint of dark pitted fruits, some earthy bitters and finishes with a lingering roasted coffee bean. The full-body and light activity in the mouth makes for a complex, rich mouthfeel and substantial palate. An ode to the cappuccino, this is a wonderful brew that has mellowed nicely over a year.

650 ml bottle from Burlington VT.

Appearance: Pours jet black with a good finger of tan head. Short retention and minimal lacing.

Aroma: Coffee, burnt malt, dill pickles.

Flavours: Cappuccino, moca, chocolate, dark roasted malt.

Mouthfeel: Thicker and coating. Moderate carbonation.

Overall: Really one of the best stouts I’ve had. Many different flavours coming together so well.

Pours a transparent medium brown with a tan head. Faint aroma of coffee but not too strong. Body is very thin for a Stout. Taste is fairly smooth coffee flavor with roasted malts. Nothing is overpowering just subtle and smooth. I can see their reasoning behind keeping it thin like coffee and not heavy and oily like a stout. It was enjoyable for what it is but not what I had expected. I prefer the flavors to be bolder and not just an afterthought. More like drinking a weak watered down coffee than a Stout.

Noir avec une moyenne robe marron. L’arôme a plein du café avec un peu du chocolat et du malt torréfié. En bouche il y a le saveur intense du café avec un peu du chocolat amer et du malt torréfié.

Poured into a teku showing light black with coffee brown rims and latte colored. The nose is sweet with hints of soy sauce The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Showing a very strong back ground of roasted malt and a strong cappuccino bitterness. Guess it sets out to accomplish what it says. Will also say this is probably a lot closer to a porter given how light it drinks.

Bomber from Cornelius, shared with jeevan and Stuu666. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of strong coffee, malt, toffee. Taste is more coffee, light sweet milky notes maybe. Texture is creamy, but thin on the finish, maybe, Mary?
