3.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
It pours a very dark brown, forming a beige head that turns more tan as it diminishes. The head resembles a freshly pulled shot of espresso that turns to lace around the glass. There are hints of coffee and vanilla on the nose, but most of it is overwhelmed by the roasted malt and the hops used. The mouth is smooth if a bit heavy, a thicker feel than the beer looks like it would have. Towards the finish, the beer yields to the spicy and bitter notes from the hops with the coffee flavors. It does go down a bit too easily for a beer of such an ABV.
Overall, I was expecting more of an aroma from the beer, but I can barely smell it, even with a head. It’s not a bad beer. It is drinkable, but there is nothing spectacular about it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Color black. White head, lace. Aroma is juniper berry and roast, earthy mineral. Same in taste but enhanced with more roast chocolate and juniper berry. Earthy herbal. Kinda sweet syrupy. Coffe seemed a little on the ashy day old side.Possibly a darker roast than I can appreciate maybe? Not sure. Stones Americano stout was real awesome, this is less.

On tap at Lagunitas tap room, Pataluma (CA, USA). Black pour, brownish head much retention. Nose: Tiramisú, macchiato, rich aroma. Mouth: cappuccino shake, frappe, milk, decent bitterness. Tasty!

Dark brown with cream colored head. Coffee and chocolate flavor. Not a bad semisweet stout.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught @ Tavern29. Opaque dark brown with large foamy beige head, caramel aroma, high carbonation, lightly bitter cappucchino taste, thick body, longish bitter coffee finish. Great brew.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber, muled from CA by Button the Mule, almost a year ago. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. Film of sticky, pale tan head. Nose still has a load of coffee. More espresso than cappuccino. Rich, roast malts. Hints of milk chocolate and dried vine fruit. Taste is lip sticking sweet, first off, turning big, charred, roast bitter. Some coffee grind tang. Smooth and silly easy drinking at the ABV. Long, tangy, roast coffee bitter finish. Too bitter for the missus, so I got to drink the lot, which I did in no time. Like rabbit gravy. Cheers kid.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Strong roasted coffee aroma, plus milder aromas of molasses, cereal and toffee. Hops seem to just impart a general bitterness.
The color is black with a fairly large light brown head.
Taste includes a moderately strong sweetness and moderately strong generalized bitterness.
The body is full, with a creamy texture. The high alcohol is apparent and there is a long finish with sweetness, roasted coffee, molasses and the general bitterness.
Overall I liked this beer quite a bit; there was good complexity and the roasted coffee worked quite well with the sweet malts and high alcohol.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark brown pour with a ruby hue, almost no head. Aroma is a little sweet and malty, some caramel, dark roast coffee and chocolate notes. Taste is on the sweet side, malty caramel and chocolate with some bitter coffee notes that don't combine that well with the rest. Not bad, but pretty disappointing for Lagunitas and for an imperial coffee stout.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown pour with a dark tannish head. Excellent roasty chocolaty coffee aroma. Lighter body than expected, coffee/malt forward with a dry, sweet tone through the finish. Expected something heavier and more aggressive, was a bit sweet for my taste. Still very enjoyable.
