Bomber with some age on it. Pours a thin black brown with little to no head. Roast malts and coffee on the nose. In flavor, coffee, a tad sweet. A drying astringency in the finish. Slightly chalky and thin mouthfeel. I like both coffee and coffee brews, but this didn’t do much for me.

Bomber, listed as 7.99% ABV, at least a year old. Poured deeper brown and it took some agitatin’ effort to bring out the tan head. The aroma picked up a lovely blast of coffee sweetened up by lactose, vanilla, and caramel.. quite succulent indeed. The flavor had sweet chocolate, oatmeal, and plenty of moderately-roasted, sweeter coffee.. some chocolate cake came through toward the back.. very tasty! A hair heavier than medium-bodied on the palate with fluffy carbonation and moderate coffee bitterness (moreso as it warmed up).. well balanced and very good!

Pours a dark chocolate brown with thick brown head that dissipates. Aroma is a rich chocolate with notes of espresso hidden. Flavor is of coffee and malts a bit milky as well. Not as much chocolate in the flavor as in the aroma. Body is medium but not as thick as expected with light carbonation.

This tastey beer pours a dark chocolate brown colour with a nice sized tan head. Sweet aromas of chocolate, coffee and pecans. Mouthfeel is very well carbonated and chewy- A very smooth well balanced beer with a high abv.

22oz. Bottle: Sweet aroma. Smells of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Poured dark brown/slight red in color with a tiny tan head that diminished immediately. Opaque. Medium sweet, lightly bitter flavor. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and piney hops. Medium body. Tingly, lightly chalky texture. Soft carbonation. Bitter coffee finish.

Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Wednesday evening beer tasting, and shared by BDR. From a 22-oz bomber pours an opaque dark brown brew with some red highlights that generates a thick tan head that slowly dissipates to a thin tan head. Aroma of toasted dark malt, coffee, some black licorice and chocolate. Taste is medium to full bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of mostly coffee, toasted dark malt, some vanilla and a touch of roasted nuts. Finish is semi-dry, with a toasted dark malt and coffee aftertaste that slowly lingers away.
