Apr 7, 2008 Poured a very dark brown with a nice thick head from the bottle. Had an aroma of coffee and chocolate. The taste was of chalky coffee with an unpleasantly bitter aftertaste. I love Lagunitas beer was so hoping for more but was disappointed.

Apr 7, 2008 Bottle....Poured a dark, dark ruby-brown
with thick tan head with good retention. Aroma of dark roast and coffe with slight floral notes. Flavor of Dark roast, chocolate, and coffee with slight bitter at the end. Full, somewhat creamy body with medium carbonation. Good stout!!!

Mar 30, 2008 Thank you to ilovedarkbeer for this one. Black body with a light brown head and good lacing. Cappucino and chocolate make up the aroma with the addition of some soil. Coffee taste, that is a bit bitter. Pretty light boddied for a stout like this. Smooth drinking.

Mar 30, 2008 bomber at Beer bistro, brownish red, decent brown or tan foam. nose was choc coffee and a little smoke mixed with some nice sweet malts. Flavor was coffee, choc again and a decent bitter finish.

Mar 29, 2008 Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head recedes leaving sheet lacing to skim surface. Malt and slight coffee aromas. Sweet and creamy coffee from front to back.

Mar 29, 2008 Shared with Lee. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate milk, and coffee soem roasted grain. Taste is Chocolate malt, coffee, and roasted grain. Smooth thick body which makes it easy to forget the 8% alcohol. Really tasty.

Mar 29, 2008 I liked this one but it did not blow me away. Pours a nice dark black brown color with a medium sized brown head. Nose is chocolate, coffee beans, and hops. Taste is malty, chocolatey, and of fresh ground java, with a nice ultra bitter finish and bite. Tastes like beer plus cappuccino, which yes I have actually had in the same glass.

Mar 25, 2008 Bottle pours a dark brownish black color with a foamy tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and malted milk. Bitter flavor with taste of coffee, chocolate, blackberries, and roasted malts. Was expecting more of an over the top coffee flavor from Lagunitas but overall I think the mix of flavors blend well together.
