| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Bottle, 8.3%. Good coffee and sweet liquorice aroma. Almost black colour, small unstable tan head. The flavour starts off with a good, sweet liquorice note and then turns into a nice, mild yet flavourful coffee note. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2008 22oz, pours a nice dark brown , pretty much opaque but a teeny bit of light sneaking through on my 200W projector bulb, taste is surprisingly boring, but in this case its okay because this is nice and drinkable. taste of coffee and roasty malt, nothing standoutish but not bad at all. mreeves (257), Sammamish, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Pours a dark brown, almost black. Pretty good head and carbonation. Very roasty flavor, but somehow it’s little thin. Bitter, but it’s a coffee taste that makes it bitter rather than hops. It’s ok, but I’m not sure I’m a huge fan of this one. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA

Rich malt, coffee and chocolate flavor that hits in waves. Big mouthfeel and a lingering taste of bitter coffee. Very very tasty coffee stout. cgort (52), mission viejo, California, USA
