garretjax (103), Colorado, USA Jan 16, 2008 A deeper chestnut brown. Great roasted and coffee flavors. Thin head of khaki color. Well balanced for a coffee stout. thewolf (5635), Kolding, Denmark Jan 16, 2008 Bottle @ Řlbaren. Dark brown with a smallish, sticky beige head. Aroma is mildly coffee-based and with a roasted edge to it. Nice mouthfeel, not too thick nor too light. Flavour has lots of coffee with a heavy bitterness. Nice long aftertaste. Good brew. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jan 16, 2008 This was lighter on the coffee flavor than I expected, but still a very good stout. Poured dark with a nice frothy head. Hints of roasted malts and brown sugar were finished off nicely with the light flavor of cappucino. Also nice strength but not overpowering at 8.3%. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jan 16, 2008 75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue. Aroma is mild coffee and light roasted. Flavour holds avery nice coffee heavy note to a solid bitterness. Slight herbal coffee flavour, yet smooth and nicely balanced. Nice coffee lingering finish too. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jan 15, 2008 Black body with ruby red highlights. Thick dense head with a medium khaki color. Strong coffee and blueberries dominate the aroma. Some cinnamon toast is also there in the background. The taste is medium coffee with some brown sugar notes. There is also a little bit of milk chocolate in the finish. Smooth and light body for the abv. Speedle (262), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA Jan 15, 2008 black with a thin bubbly head....aroma of coffee and sweet malt aroma...thinnish mouth feel...bitter bottom of the coffee pot taste...lingering bitterness on the back part of the roof of my mouth...rich caramel without the sweetness...malty....coffee really picks up in the finish...not detecting any strong alcohol taste....very enjoyable, I just hope the booze effect offsets the coffee, I’ve gotta get up early tomorrow KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jan 15, 2008 Almost black with tiny head. Burned aroma with coffee and liquerice. Flavor has burned malt with liquerice and coffee. Ends slightly bitter. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 15, 2008 Bottle. Courtesy of Bierkönig. [Amager – Mikkeller Brew session @ Amager Bryghus] Huge beige creamy head that really lasted. Excellent display of lacework in the glass. Dark mahogany color. Light notes of chocolate and coffee. Some roasted malt as well. Over the palate hint of caramel, and again roasted malt with a hint of perfume and floral notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Roasted malty light bitter finish that lingers.
