asdash (4), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count Jun 6, 2009 I am a sucker for coffee stouts but this is a good representative of the style. Nice thick head but the mouthfeel is too thin for a stout. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jun 3, 2009 Deep black pour with creamy tan head and lace. A medium coffee aroma. Hard coffee flavor dominates followed by what I think is a medium malt bitter finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Virkelig lækker. mistersinalin (367), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA May 12, 2009 Nice coffee flavor, not enough stout flavor. I enjoyed it, but the coffee flavor should be more subtle. The price is always better with Lagunitas though livelaughlovep (96), Lakewood, Ohio, USA May 11, 2009 This was excellent. Couldn’t tell it was beer - would have easily mistaken it for a nice iced coffee!! You get a bit of a bite, some caramel malt, but mostly this is all coffee. SpringsLicker (2041), Tennessee, USA May 10, 2009 Pours clear dark brown tan head.
Coffee and cocoa aroma.
The flavor follows the aroma.
I expected more coffee.
Big for a stout, light for an Imperial Stout. WakeandBake (422), Greenville, Michigan, USA May 10, 2009 Bottle. My first Lagunitas brew. A dark/reddish brown, like coffee with a small tan head, light carbonation, and loads of lacing. Aroma of coffee with sugar, and just a dash of cream. Flavor is pretty rich for the body being on the thin side, flavors of coffee, sugar, toffee, and hints at chocolate, I detected little hops or any of the higher alcohol content, smooth creamy mouthfeel with a sweet coffee aftertaste, very nice but I would have liked a touch more coffee type bitterness. A very drinkable brew despite being 8.3% ABV, I picked up this bomber for under $5 a very good value IMO, BeerBaby (62), , Tennessee, USA May 10, 2009 Chocolate, roasted coffee smell and taste, creamy tan head, dark full body. Good beer
