Bomber. Pours black with a dense brown head. Aroma is sweet malt and vanilla, plus burnt coffee, roasted malt, and alcohol. Flavor is sweet and creamy up front, moving to a lot of roasted malt, coffee, bit of background sourness reminiscent of cold/stale coffee, plus bitter chocolate in the finish. Like with most coffee stouts I have mixed opinions on this one, despite being a big fan of both stouts and coffee when separate. Decent, but also has rather many off flavors, between the somewhat cloying creamy sweetness on the one hand, and the extreme roastiness and cold coffee taste on the other.

good solid stout with a long lasting bitter aftertaste. Had it from the bottle but wish I could have done this on tap. Very thick and creamy and sweet. Definately not a beer I could have more than a couple of at a time, and pretty expensive (22oz for $4) at Safeway. I’ve always been a fan of laggy’s and stout was the first style I was in love with. I can’t say anything bad about it. Not much of that soy sauce saltyness. I’ll take this over a milkshake all day. ReRate: This is my stout of choice by far. Sweet, thick.... but the joy is in the hops afterward... wow an amazing beer and 8.3 for a drunk like me!?!?!? I still can’t believe this bomber costs more than five bucks after crv.... worth it! best stout I’ve had so far!!!!!!!i’m going back to give this beer perfect five because it’s all I dream of in beer. GRUB.

Draft at Max’s. A coffee/chocolate milkshake for adults. Starts with coffee and ends with slightly bitter chocolate and has a lot of fun in between.

On Draft-This poured to the usual stout look-dark-with a nice tan head.Aromas were of coffee, malt and dark chocolate, and those aromas were also present in the flavor. There was also a little vanilla in the taste as well.Good.

Nice thick and chewy beer, and a beautiful aroma. A good smooth finish and I love the coffe like flavor.

The aroma does have coffee and burnt malt but it also has a seaweed smell. The appearance is dark brown with a tan head. The flavor is bitter and coffee like with burnt malt and herbs. The palate is thin but smooth. This one is a bit disappointing since it could have been so great.

Heavy espresso bean influence, almost as if you are drinking an espresso shot. Gritty and thick, moderate bitter dark chocolate. Some residual sharp hop bite - kind of a sour grassy note as well.
