Another pretty damn good beer from Lagunitas. 22oz bottle from Bev Mo Carmel Mtn. Big nose of toffee, chocolate, and caramel malts.

Pours deep dark coffee color with thin tan head. The aroma is obviously coffee along with vanilla, sweet roasted malts and some burnt malts. The taste starts off sort of sweet and chocolaty. The flavor then becomes more dark roasted coffee and more chocolate and vanilla.

Nov. 2005 - Yawn. This beer bored me. Poured dark with little head, but nice lacing. The flavor was kinda one dimensional with coffee. Not bad coffee, but it coulda had something else going on to give this beer some character.

11/6/05. Bomber. Dark brown with large brown head. Malty coffee aroma.Pleasent non overpowering coffee taste. fullbodied.

I was a little disappointed. I was expecting a sweet stout here, even a nice full coffee taste. I mean "cappaccino" is in the name. the only coffee quality it has is the bitter roasted taste of espresso. appearance is more towards a deep dark brown instead of black. aroma is as a stout should be. don’t get me wrong, this beer tastes good- rich roasted flavor. the alcohol really comes out on this and overtakes any sweetness.

22oz bomber shared with a friend. black brew with a small tan head. Mlaty cholate aroma with a bit of coffee. flavor is bitter with choclate, but has a nice amount of maltiness. the cofee is suprisingly mild for somethign called a cappicino stout, but adds soem nice notes. well balenced and drinkable.

black, big tan head, nice lace, big roasted coffee aroma, creamy body, lots of coffee flavor, low bitterness, nice chocolate comes from behind and adds some richness, slightly sweet creamy character mixed with the coffee makes for a great coffee with cream

aroma is subdued but may be too cold, warming helps the aroma a bit but really brings out the roasted and coffee in the flavor, turns into a great creamy cup of coffee

coffee and chocolate are in great balance, great roasted coffee character but it does not take over the base beer

12 oz bottle shared with padrefan98. Black with not much head. Aromas were a little weak. Roasty aromas, and maybe some chocolate. Pretty bitter on the finish. Bitter chocolate with black coffee. Some porter flavors actually. Cappachino actually, ya I can taste that. Pretty good.
