Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout

Bottled. Thanks Fredrik. Dark brown colour with a redish tint. Pretty creamy light brown head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of chocolate. Flavour is chocolatey with a hint of sourness from toast malts but no coffee was sensed. Bottle was 1/2 year old.

Good with a croissant and morning paper. Not as thick as some other great stouts, but no wimp either. Perfectly balanced with a very subtle coffee flavor. Head reminiscent of actual cappuccino. Wonderful beer! Sweet and hoppy. Great off-white head. Yum!

This beer has a huge coffee smell and taste to it. Nice smooth feel to it. As it warmed, it seemed to bring out more of the malt and chocolate. I did find hard to tell this apart from many of the other chocolate/coffee stouts though, but still like it

Found at the local store and decided it would be a great addition to a weekend’s breakfast. Pours out black with a moderate sized bubbly tan head. Aroma of coffee and slight chocolate. Taste is very well balanced with coffee, caramel, roasted malt and slight chocolate. Nice Mouthfeel Solid

the aroma was very full and rich, lots of chocolate, marshmallow, carmel, and espresso (dark roast) with some walnut. whoa. flavor is way dark and bitter espresso flavor that’s a bit too harsh for my palate (and i drink coffee like it’s water). not much of the carmel or marshmallow flavor, but the walnut and dark chocolate carry over.

This stout was poured with a black body and a tan kakhi head. This smell of coffee is just a headstart of what you taste. Coffee is very prominent which is a good thing. This one is for you Duane. I wish I could of had a beer with you.

I was a bit disappointed. I thought this would have been a HUGE beer, but it was instead pretty bland. The Cappuccino was almost lost in the beer. Could have just been called "stout" and nobody would have noticed the difference.

dark chocolate color. taste of coffee and hops. see, the problem here is that this was the last beer of the night i think so my rating is slim pickings and it’s a month old so i don’t remember anything other than what i wrote down. i liked it though
