tmoreau (528), Lombard, Illinois, USA Mar 28, 2009 22 oz. bomber from my beer locker. Lousy weather out so I’m staying in. Poured into my trusty SA glass a dark mahogany with an off white/light tan head and fairly nice lacing. Aroma was roasted, dark fruit and a little tanginess, some oak and smoke, coffee and baker’s chocolate. Ditto on the flavor with some malt sweetness exposed. Good stout for the occasion. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Mar 28, 2009 Pretty good body, smooth, milk-chocolate sweetness, lightly roasted coffee flavor. Not bad overall. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA Mar 27, 2009 Tasted on 03.14.09, 22 oz. bottle. Pours black ruby brown, off white head. Aroma is olives, caramel, molasses, smoke, ketchup. Flavor is smoky, ham and pineapple, some chocolate, caramel, salt, vinegar. This is a pretty tasty stout! Rather unique. punkrkr27 (608), Berkley, Michigan, USA Mar 24, 2009 Very dark brown pour with a slight ruby highlight and a small tan head. Roasted malt aroma with milk caramel, milk chocolate. vanilla extract, caramelized brown sugar, and coffee notes. Sweet, cloying flavor with notes of heavy cream, vanilla, milk chocolate, caramelized brown sugar, smoke, and coffee. Medium-full body with soft carbonation. gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 22, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted, smoked, coffee. Flavour is roasted, smoked, coffee, chocolate, hop. Bitter finish. Full bodied nice beer. HonkeyBra (1279), Lemont, Illinois, USA Mar 22, 2009 Girlfriend bought this one to me. Almost opaque pour with light tan head. Aroma of smoke and coffee, some chocolate, Flavor has light cherry, coffee, some dirty earthiness. Smokey, and pretty tasty. Very good beer. hapjydeuce (765), Del Mar, California, USA Mar 21, 2009 Bomber from Pizza Port Bottle Shop. Pours a ruby-brown with light tan lacing. Pleasant aroma of cherry and butterscotch above the chocolate mocha base. Flavor leans sweet, but lacks depth. Most prominent is a fruit-snack like tone, with less intense notes of coffee and smoked malt. Cappuccino, or coffee (couldn’t really discern the two), really stands out only in the quick and dry finish. Ends a bit peppery and acidic. joeneugs (289), Livermore, California, USA Mar 8, 2009 Pours thin and dark orangy golden with a small light brown head. Pretty complex aroma of fruit, chocolate and a bit of coffee. The surprising fruit aroma dominates. It looks a little like cola in the glass. The flavor is sugary sweet with strong notes of coffee and milk chocolate and it ends with an acidic bitterness. I do pick up some dried fruit as well. The body is pretty thin. Its tasty but a bit too sweet for me.
