3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Dark cola color, tan head, foamy little bubbles that stick around, nice lacing. Aroma is stale chocolate, roasted malts, used coffee grounds. Taste is bitter coffee, like stuff I brewed in the morning and continue to drink black even though it's cold because I'm a graduate student and that's how I roll when it's 4pm and I'm in my sweatpants looking forward to another late night. Thin-to-medium body. Lively carbonation. Lasting bitter finish.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
One of my top beers. Poured from a bottle. Delicious aroma, chocolate coffee and. ...bacon? I can’t place it. But it’s terrific. Lacing could’ve been better. But I’d get this again.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Man oh man oh man this is good stuff. Very dark brown with thin tan head. Smells of mocha and toast. Taste is wonderful...bitter coffee balanced with dark chocolate and some toasted malt backing. Nice toasty aftertaste. Noticeable carbonation, but not unpleasant. Dangerously smooth for the alcohol content and creamy mouthfeel makes it a real treat. Love it! Wish it was a regular offering instead of a seasonal, I?d drink one any time.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle bought Jul 12/14. 9.2%abv. Pours a clear, deep mahogany with a one finger, tan head. Aroma has smooth notes of toasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, and a hint of dark fruits. Taste is a touch sweet. Starts out with dark chocolate, roasted malts, and caramel, then moves to coffee, dark fruits, and an drawn out aftertaste. Medium-full body with a low-medium carbonation. Not too syrupy in the mouth with a big, dry finish. Overall a really nice coffee stout. Balanced and not overdone. Very drinkable.
