Lighter in body and color than other stouts. I was expecting a creamier texture. Some roast in the aroma. Head is not creamy and fades quickly. Slightly too bitter, but overall a decent beer.

Tasty brew. Aroma and flavors of coffee and chocolate with a slight roastiness. Nice dark chocolate color with a thin head and a smooth creamy palate. Not too heavy.

Dark brown. Nose of brown sugar, molasses, light roast and mocha. Flavor is grainy chocolate malt and sweet molasses that gives way to lightly acidic coffee and mild dark fruit. Lingering sweet molasses/acid coffee mix.

Rick black color with a thick tan head. Hints of chocolate, toasted marshmallow, caramel and coffee. Thick on the palate, but clean finish.

Btl pours a deep dark brown with ruby highlights. Big billowy, fluffy tan head that lingers forever leaving massive amounts of lace on glass. Aromas of cocoa, espresso beans, brown sugar, dark bread, figs and alcohol. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, prunes, earth, and alcohol. Medium body, silky smooth mouthfeel, perfect carbonation, and a sweet slightly hot finish. At first I felt this stout was average at best. Then it proceeded to warm up a bit, that is when the flavors and aromas started to shine through. I hate to say this but if the ABV were to be toned down a bit, this stout would be phenomenal. It has such a nice mouthfeel I would have thought it was a milk stout. If you like coffee and chocolate you will love this beer!

Ive had this in my beercellar since april 2013 - Now 2 years later its time to open it! Great nose: Coffee, chocolate, dark bread, mocha. Taste of coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate, pumpernickel, dark fruit and some vanilla. Very smooth! Medium to full body and light carbonation. This was very good two years ago and it still is! The years in the cellar has done the beer just good.

Pours black like oil with khaki colored head. Coffee, roasted malt, and a little chocolate on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more coffee. Like a nice cup o joe with some cocoa and booze.
