Lighter in body and color than other stouts. I was expecting a creamier texture. Some roast in the aroma. Head is not creamy and fades quickly. Slightly too bitter, but overall a decent beer.

Poured from a 22oz. bottle. Appearance is a deep dark brown with a reddish tint when held to light, head is one finger and lasts a bit. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, dark roasted malts. Taste is cappuccino, bitter-sweet dark chocolate, dark roasted malts, vanilla. Palate is medium to full bodied. Great beer, good for dessert or breakfast.

A sumptuous, seductive stout, that succeeds in belying the high alcohol content behind a rich tapestry of flavours. Pours dark, with solid tan head, and pleasant on the nose, with roasted malts and coffee notes predominating. Smooth medium-body on the palate, with roasted malts, coffee, and chocolate delivering a very comforting experience. Overall, a very decent imperial stout.

Bottled from Systembolaget Böack with a medium, beige head. Vinous aroma with milky coffee. Sweet flavour with coffee, brown sugar and chocolate. Rather high bitterness.

Aroma is sweet malts, roasted malts with a slightly smokey body. The coffee and cappuccino flavors don’t come out until you taste it. It pairs nicely with the dark and roasty malts.only a small bit of bitterness here but it is sweet and earthy enough to keep it interesting and not spoiling the sweet malty experience. Very nice. Appearance is a black body with a medium beige head that retains quite well.

22 oz bottle served in a Unibroue snifter (from notes). Appearance: Looks like black coffee, if a tad hazy and with a moderate tan head. Decent retention and lacing. Smell: Modest roasty malt aroma, with light-medium roast coffee competing for dominance, but in a nice, well-balanced way. Taste: Coffee flavor in the forefront from start to finish, but there’s also a solid malt base and a touch of earthy/spicy hops. The malt base could be richer, but then the excellent malt/coffee balance might be off. Unusual bitterness profile with more, or at least as much, bitterness mid-taste as in the coffee-flavored finish. Mouthfeel: Medium+ body with excellent carbonation; very smooth. O: Easy to drink, refined coffee-stout with great mouthfeel. Limited bitterness given the substantial coffee component that leaves a lasting aftertaste. Excellent cold but improves with a bit of warming.

A very nice stout, remarkably easy to drink, and with a delicious coffee finish. This beer lacks complexity but more than makes up for it with savory coffee flavors. Like a great cup of coffee, this beer should be sipped and savored. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Exactly what I want out of a cappuccino stout. Beautiful flavor, palate, and finish. Buy it!

From a bomber. Pours very dark brown with a thick, bubbly tan head. Tastes like dark coffee, burnt toast, dry roasted malt, and a hint of dark chocolate. Medium body and carbonation. Smells like burnt coffee, roasted malt, burnt toast, some chocolate and some caramel.

Pours dark coffee, lots of foamy head and lots of lacing. Nose is espresso, cappuccino. Flavours dark fruit, coffee, some vanilla, marshmallow. Tastes medium sweet, medium bitter. Mouth is creamy with lively carbonation.
