2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Copper apperance. Ho head. Velvety mouthfeeling. Quite fruity and alcoholic. Nothing special, a quite boring brew.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled: Cobber coloured. Light unclear. Dark beige head. Hoppy, floral and sweet aroma on top of some malt notes. Herbal, light spiced and hoppy flavour. Ends on a light bitterness. I would like flavours and aroma to be a bit more distinct. Decent brew without much charachter.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Rather hoppy aroma and flavour. Dry finish. Refreshing, but simple.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This copper-colored ale poured with a medium white head, eliciting a malty aroma. The flavor, too, is malty and is slightly bitter at first with an even more bitter pine-like finish. There is a good balance of hops and malt, resulting in a satisfying drink.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tried my first bottle of this last night. It’s somewhat of a treat because we can’t get Lagunitas in KY. I like the idea behind the name. Pours a slightly dark amber color with a tall white head with excellent retention and leaves tons of lumpy lacing on the glass. I actually couldn’t just rinse the lace off after drinking, had to actually wipe it with my fingers. The aroma had caramel malts with some citrus and pine hops. Very pleasing aroma. The flavor has a very strong caramel backbone, but it is not overpowering. The hops come through well - citrus and pine mostly. This is exceptionally balanced. The mouthfeel is very good as it has a very thick body - I respect a copper ale that’s not thin. Drinkability is great as well. I must say, this is one of the best amber/copper ales I’ve had.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle bought in Amherst, MA. I remember kicking myself for not trying more of Lagunitas’ beers after visiting the brewery in 2003. Pours a deep amber color with a thick head. Smooth mouthfeel and a nice malty taste. I like this a lot.

3.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells like beer pee. Thin foam on top and an reddish color. Despite the smell, this tastes good. LIke beer is supposed to taste like. I think I could drink a lot of this.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Another winner from Lagunitas, who have nailed the rich, high ABV style better than most. True to its name, has a character balanced between red and brown ale. Rich, sweet, and swampy but with enough hops to rescue it from overmalty blandness. Smooth palate, easy drinking, and the alcohol is well disguised.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cream, one finger-head that goes slowly leaving a decent lace. Nice clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Nose is slightly hoppy. Starts with a mix of hops and malt, finish has a hoppy/soapy edge. Some bitter aftertaste but not bad. $1.60 for a 12oz from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Lagunitas Copper Ale.
Copper colour. Candy(tidbits), caramel and butter in aroma. Flavour is buttery, caramelly with a light roasty touch. Rich malty. Would never had guess it’s 7,7.
