COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ale contains no actual copper but weíre pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lotsía nice caramel malt though... Originally 5.9% alcohol by volume, currently

Not sure of the age of this as it was from a friend. Nice and malty and rich with hops rising through to end in a lovely finish. Simple and elegant at the same time. Not sure what the name had evoked, but this isnít what I had expected. I enjoy Lagunitas and this is no exception.

Dark copper/mahogony color, nice tan head, clear. Malty, caramel nose with hints of piney hops, oranges, apricots. Medium sweet flavor, with bready malts, musty orange/apricot fruitiness, decent bitter kick. Creamy mouthfeel; very nice.

Dark amber brown color, small head. Yeasty hops nose. Medium bitter hops taste / dusty and dry. Somehow it tasted young.

Poured a copper color with a medium sized off white sticky head and nice lacing on the glass. Sweet caramel and buttery malts, light citrus, and a strange vegetable aroma. Heavy on the caramel malts, light bitterness, fruity, sweet, buttery malt taste. Alcohol very well masked.

the warm orange of a jackolanternís glow. along with some nuage to itís peachy tobacco barn red, this brew is a very nice pour, dignified further with an ample collar of foam the color of stretched caramel. aroma has the autumny feel of hot sun on dry leaves, with orange zest, and pie crust. gorgeous flavor of sweet buttery malts-- with a bit of flour this could be baked into a fine breakfast pastry-- you could dip apples in this and caramelize them. orange pekoe with a half shot of smooth canadian whiskey. from that tea-like effect the hops emerge and drone on in a lingering grapefruit epilogue.

Amber pour with a thin white head. Nice malty nose, caramel dominates. Thin in mouthfeel. I want this one to be better, but not great.

Lagunitasí "Censored" pours a glowing hazy copper with a fizzy light tan head that quickly goes to a thin film. Very nice looking.

Its aroma is caramel malts, buttery toffee and a little bitterness and fruitiness.

The flavor is buttery toffee and caramel initially with a fruity and piney hop bite at the finish. An interesting mix of flavors. It has a smooth and lively palate.

Overall, an interesting beer. Itís different from anything else Iíve had. Iím not quite sure if I really like it or not.

Bottle. The more of these I tried (not in the same sitting, mind you) the better they got. Good malty taste with a moderatly bitter finish. Notes of hay, dried fruit, honey, and malts come out. This is quite enjoyable and highly recommended.
