This ale contains no actual copper but we’re pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots’a nice caramel malt though... Originally 5.9% alcohol by volume, currently

Light aroma that is faintly hoppy. Thin fluff head, and tea like color. Not as big flavored as the hairy eyeball ale but certainly more hopped. Mainly a mild bitter hops flavor with some citrus and some malt character. Not bad but not good enough to be drank often.

Darker gold colour. 1"+ head. Interesting hop notes in the aroma. Rich malty body. A warm soothing session beer except for the higher alcohol. A weird flavour that I cannot identify seems quite prominent.

Bottle. Has very floral citrus hoppiness with lots and lots of oranges and mangoes in the nose. Slughtly piney aroma as well. Smells yummy. Mildly hazy copper.amber color with a decent fluffy manilla head. Well, I guess this is a malt bomb. Start is initally hoppy with more citrus hops. Finishes delightfully smooth with more maltiness with caramels, sticky sweet notes, and roasted notes. Perhaps a bit too sweet and a tad cloying. Still nicely done.

Small tan head with scattered, spotty lacing. Lightly hazy, copper/orange hued ale. Grainy malt nose with a good hop presence, lightly grassy, lightly spicey. Medium body. Bready malts that are a medium sweetness. Lightly nutty, hints of caramel malt and a light hop flavor. Finish is almost dry, somewhat roasty. Thanks Secret Santa!

Hazy orange/copper body with a small, quickly dissipating head. Aroma is dominated by sweet, fruity malt with background notes of hops, alcohol, and yeast. Has a cheesy nose to it. Flavor is smooth and understated. If I didn’t see the 7.7 abv here I wouldn’t believe it. Palate is mostly malt but finishes with a nice dose of hops bitterness. Overall, This is a strong beer that I could see drinking straight from the bottle. I’ll give that a try sometime.

Light bottle conditioning gives this a light misty orange color with an oily head and light lacing. Nose of rich fruity malts, toast, unboiled maple syrup, mint and a light chocolatey edge. Taste has a bitter edge but a medium bodied malty balance that crashes against the bitterness like a wave retaining wall, containing all of it; the bitterness holds strong. Dry strong finish with a well hidden abv level. Very nice to drink, very malty and tasty but the dry and bitter are too much to let go.

Not sure of the age of this as it was from a friend. Nice and malty and rich with hops rising through to end in a lovely finish. Simple and elegant at the same time. Not sure what the name had evoked, but this isn’t what I had expected. I enjoy Lagunitas and this is no exception.

Dark copper/mahogony color, nice tan head, clear. Malty, caramel nose with hints of piney hops, oranges, apricots. Medium sweet flavor, with bready malts, musty orange/apricot fruitiness, decent bitter kick. Creamy mouthfeel; very nice.
